Chapter 111
Chapter 111:
The dungeon wasn’t a place for the weak. It was a place where hell awaited my enemies. Despite avoiding Aurora, she wasn’t my enemy.
I would never allow her to go to the dungeon. Not even for a minute.
“Don’t you ever send her to that horrible place again!” My voice dropped dangerously, and I grabbed her throat, watching her gasp for breath.
“She is not your property. She is not your slave, and you are not her master!”
“Yes, my King,” she replied faintly, before coughing, indicating that my grip on her throat was tight.
“Tell her to come here at once!” I ordered, loosening my hold on her reddened neck.
She was carrying my heir.
I had to keep my anger in check next time.
Horror flashed in her eyes as she met my gaze, guilt written all over her face.
“She can’t make it… she collapsed.”
Without wasting a second on Rosa’s words, I dashed out of the room, heading straight for the dungeon like a flash of lightning. My worried eyes scanned the entire area until they landed on a figure that looked like it had been through a bloodbath. Horrified by her state, I rushed over, unlocking the door to her cell and walking in.
“How many of you did this to her?” I demanded, my eyes twitching as fury began to consume me.
“All… of us… my King,” they stammered, lowering their heads.
I wasted no time sinking my claws into them, slitting their throats with lightning speed.

Satisfied as they dropped dead, their bodies pooling with blood, I rushed to Aurora. I quickly unfastened the chains that bound her to the wire fence before lifting her in my arms, carrying her bridal style.
Rosa was going to pay for this!

Call me the most confused man in the world, and I’ll accept it. Ever since Aurora collapsed, my buried feelings have resurfaced. I thought I was good at masking them. I thought being cold and ignoring her would bury those feelings for good. I thought I was good at playing the ruthless game, but Aurora’s presence completely threw me off.
I didn’t even know who I was anymore.
Each day passed without fail, and each day, I found myself stopping to check on her.
Each day, the urge to pull her closer grew stronger.
I missed the feeling of her head resting on my chest, hearing my heartbeat race in response. I missed the touch of her silky hair against me, the warmth of her body.
And Goddess… her sweet scent drove me wild.
Everything about her reminded me of Ivy.
Despite drawing closer to her, I tried to keep my distance.
