Chapter 149
Chapter 149:
The air felt heavy and hard and my head went blank. The only thing ringing in my head was to get him off my body.
A strange sensation enveloped my throat, tingling it.
I started to feel nauseous, but I ignored the feeling.
It was probably an anxiety attack.
Before long, the urge to throw up overcame me and I pushed Damon back with the last of my strength.
His hands were quick to hold my hair in place as he pulled it behind my back to prevent it from being soaked in my vomit.
“Are you ok?” His voice was laced with sudden concern as his eyes locked on mine.
I was about to answer when I threw up again.
Dumbfounded, he watched me in silence before disappearing into his head.
I could tell that he was mind-linking with Jasper.
Slowly, my body slipped into severe fatigue as my strength failed me.
I collapsed on the bed, gasping for breath as exhaustion overcame me.
“Wake up, Aurora!” He ordered, resting my head on his hairy chest.
I tried to run my fingers along his chest, but I couldn’t lift my hands.
Soon my vision became blurred as my eyes closed in the darkness. Perhaps it was better that way.
Aurora
The moment my eyes flew open, I found myself in another realm.

Slowly, I rose to my feet, trying to regain my balance as the heavy wind swirled around me with all its might. My eyes scanned the barren, open space before me, leaving me dazed.
How did I get here?
What is this place?
My head ached as I struggled to recall my last activity, but it was in vain; my memory was blank.
A feeling of loneliness washed over me as I wrapped my arms around my fragile frame, letting my legs take me wherever they led.
“Hello?” I called into the emptiness, taking cautious steps as I ventured further into the vast expanse. “Is anyone here?” I added, raising my voice.
Silence followed, and I continued walking into the unknown, using the glow of the moon as my only guide. The only sounds that filled the air were the loud echoes of my voice, the thudding of my feet, and the steady beat of my heart. Nervousness began to take hold of me, and I stopped abruptly to glance behind.
I couldn’t shake the paranoid feeling gnawing at me from deep within.
Was someone following me?
How could I escape this strange place?
Fear gripped me as I quickened my pace, almost breaking into a run.
