Chapter 205:

“What the fuck are you doing in there?”

“Bathing. What else do you do in the bathroom?” I replied sarcastically.

“Maybe… sex,” Dax responded.

“Shut up, Dax. What is wrong with you?”

“Can you just fucking help me out?!”

“Fine!”

The loud footsteps indicated they were getting closer. I wrapped my arms around my body, as if trying to protect myself, but I knew it wasn’t enough to cover me.

If only I could reach the towel.

“Holy shit!” Dax yelled.

I nearly disappeared from the sheer embarrassment.

“Shut up, Dax. What is wrong with you?” Devin scolded him again.

Even with my eyes closed, I could feel their gazes boring into my naked body.

My face burned with embarrassment, and I wished the ground would swallow me whole.

I clutched my hands tighter around my body, standing frozen, unsure of what to do next.

“You said the water wasn’t coming out, but you turned off a button,” Devin said, his breath growing more hurried.

I bit my lip hard, scolding myself for my foolishness.

It didn’t take long before the sound of water rushing back filled the room, and I sighed in relief.

“Enjoy your bath,” they both chorused before leaving, making me nearly die of embarrassment.

“Argh!” I screamed, hitting myself.

Did Dax and Devin just see me naked?!

How could I face them when I left the bathroom?!

I spent the rest of the day locked in my room, avoiding any physical contact with the brothers. Filled with mortification, I shut the door behind me, burying myself in the books I had snuck earlier from Devin’s library. Despite my best efforts to forget what had happened, the memory of the bathroom incident kept haunting me.

No matter how hard I tried to focus on the book in front of me, my mind kept wandering, losing concentration. All I could think about was that moment with the brothers. It was as if that scene replayed in my mind over and over again.

“Ahh!” I screamed in frustration, tugging at my hair.

How could I have caused this mess?!

Why did I have to touch that control button?

If I had just stayed away from it, I wouldn’t be drowning in embarrassment right now.

Devin and Dax’s faces flashed in my mind again, and I whimpered in self-pity.

How was I supposed to face them after what had happened?

As someone who was already shy, the idea of looking them in the eye filled me with dread. I could easily imagine staying locked in my room for days—anything to avoid physical contact with them.
