“He keeps threatening me.” Rosa closed her eyes at that moment, trying to absorb the pain that was flooding her heart.

“He keeps threatening and blackmailing me,” she finally confessed. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away, determined not to show any weakness to her Uncle.

The weight of his words hit her like heavy blows. She could hardly believe what she was hearing. Was he suggesting she continue having sex with that peasant?
