Chapter 261
Chapter 261:
Why did I almost kill my Mistress because of a slave who had betrayed me?
“And why did you try to choke her? Don’t you know her status is above yours?” I asked Aurora harshly, my teeth gritted as I struggled to control my anger.
“I didn’t. She was the one who bumped into me and tried to kill—”
“My King, Aurora is a pathetic liar. She bumped into me so hard that I lost my balance and fell. Despite my attempts to talk to her, she was hostile and abusive. She called me a dirty slut!” Rosa interrupted, speaking quickly and casting a glance at Aurora, who froze in shock.
“I never said those things. She is lying.” Aurora’s voice shook with sadness and surprise as she stared at Rosa before meeting my gaze.
I quickly looked away, not wanting to be consumed and controlled by her innocent eyes.
Never again!
A long sigh escaped me as confusion enveloped my thoughts.
I wanted to believe Rosa was innocent, but it was a hard pill to swallow. At the same time, I didn’t want to be deceived by Aurora.
I straightened up, cleared my throat, and fixed them both with a hostile glare.
“Shut up! Both of you.” My voice echoed through the corridor, causing fear to grip them.
“Leave, Rosa!” I commanded.
Rosa bowed briefly before scrambling to her feet and quickly walking out of the corridor.
The stench of her jealousy lingered for a moment before disappearing.

As much as I tried to ignore it, my heart broke when I saw Rosa’s fingerprints on Aurora’s reddened neck.
“Are you alright?” I found myself asking, stepping closer to examine her neck.
“It looks a little sore,” I murmured, making a mental note to be gentle with her.
In a flash, I felt drawn to her like ants to sugar. My heart began pounding against my ribs as I moved closer.
I swallowed hard, struggling to steady my breath. Gently, I tucked a few strands of her wavy caramel hair behind her ear. My lips parted as I bit them, fighting the urge to moan from the sweetness of her scent. It was divine. I missed it.
I missed the feel of her soft hair against my palm. Her unmarked neck was strangely inviting, making me crave a taste. I could feel my canines pushing against my gums.
I didn’t know when my finger started tracing her collarbone. Sweat beaded on my forehead as images of burying my head in her neck during an intense kiss replayed in my mind.
Familiar sparks ran down my fingertips like electric currents, but I quickly withdrew my hand before they could spread through me.
The more I stared at her, the stronger my desire grew.
“Fuck!”
I miss the old times.
“You are hurt,” I said, the words coming out before I could stop them.
A dangerous silence stretched between us, and it drove me to the edge, each second feeling like it was unraveling my mind.
