Chapter 300
Chapter 300:
Shivers ran down my spine as electric jolts surged through my body, making me jump from the bed in fear.
“Leave me alone!” I cried, shielding myself with the duvet.
Sweat broke out across my face, my palms growing damp. Paralyzed by fear, I bolted out of bed and rushed to the wall, fumbling to switch on the light. But when the room illuminated, there was no one there.
“Alex?” I called out, but silence was my only answer.
“Stop this sick joke, Alex. You’re scaring me!”
I swallowed hard, my eyes darting frantically around the room.
“Come out already. Fine, you win,” I muttered, still searching for Alex’s figure.
This had to be some kind of prank.
“I’m not scared of you! Show yourself if you’re not a coward!” I challenged, raising a clenched fist, ready to strike at whoever dared approach me.
“Aurora.”
The voice whispered my name again, so softly yet so chillingly that my body nearly went limp with terror.
“Follow me,” it commanded.
Before I could react, an invisible force seized control of me. It felt as if something had possessed me, compelling me to obey without question.
I stifled a scream, clasping my hands tightly over my mouth.

I was too afraid to make a sound.
It was the same voice from my dream.
I wanted to resist, to fight back, but its grip on me was overwhelming. Who knew where it was leading me? What if it wanted to drag me into the woods, where wild beasts would devour me alive?
I was about to shrug off the sensation when the voice called again.
Before I could object, I found myself walking out of my room, my steps unconsciously guiding me toward the river.
I recognized this place.
It was where Ivy had been buried.
The voice grew louder, more powerful, resonating through the air. It blended seamlessly with the rustling wind and the gentle flow of water.
“Aurora.”
It beckoned again.
Lifting my gaze, I froze.
Three shadowy figures moved around Ivy’s grave.
Fear-stricken, I stood paralyzed, time seeming to slow around me.
A blood-curdling scream tore from my throat as three massive wolves lunged toward me, their eyes burning with a predatory hunger.
The darkness made it impossible for me to distinguish their features.
Before I could process what was happening, an unfamiliar scent invaded my nostrils, sending a shiver down my spine. My wolf stirred restlessly, a surge of excitement rushing through her.
