Chapter 305
Chapter 305:
Get a grip, Aurora.
“Who knew you were our mate all along,” Dax spoke, breaking the silence, but his words only seemed to fuel Damon’s anger. He growled aggressively.
“She is not my mate!” Damon protested, slamming his fist onto a nearby table, shattering it. “But she is…”
“I’m rejecting her!” Damon declared, and my heart clenched with pain. A fresh surge of rage rose in him like a tide. I stared at him in disbelief as tears blurred my vision.
I was the one who was supposed to be angry, not him.
I had lost a part of myself.
“Why?” I managed to ask, my voice trembling.
“A cheat can’t be my mate,” he snapped, clenching his fist as the desire to punch something overtook him.
“I didn’t cheat on you,” I muttered, barely audible, afraid to speak too loudly for fear of breaking down into tears. “You can’t keep punishing me when I’m innocent.”
I was tired of him accusing me. I was done begging for his forgiveness.
If he wanted to reject me, then so be it. At least I had Dax and Devin by my side.
But it still hurt that he didn’t believe me.
I hated that Damon had such a hardened heart.
“If you didn’t cheat on me, then why the hell did you moan another guy’s fucking name instead of mine? Why did I catch you in bed with him? To think that he impregnated you and you tried to deceive me!” he yelled, his fury evident. I could tell that the scene was playing in his mind, the irritation flaring in his chest.
Rage flowed through him like molten lava.

“I was framed, and I have a witness!” I declared.
Rosa’s face hardened in disgust as she pulled her ear away from the door.
Her anger was rising, almost consuming her. The resentment grew inside her like an unforgiving tumor.
“Mate? We shall see,” a dangerous smirk curled on Rosa’s lips as she stepped away from the wall.
Unknown
“Get up!” A hoarse voice jolted Rosa awake, and she felt a pair of rough palms gripping her shoulders firmly.
It had to be a dream.
Tossing in her sleep, she turned her head to find a more comfortable position, snoring softly.
It had been a tough day for Rosa. She hadn’t realized when she had fallen asleep at the table after putting on her thinking cap. Frustrated by the lack of ideas, she had succumbed to a short nap.
“Up!” The voice sounded again, this time angrier.
Maybe it wasn’t a dream anymore.
She hated when her sleep was disturbed.
Mumbling a few inaudible words, Rosa stretched her tired limbs before lifting her eyes. A wave of shock hit her when she saw Ray’s piercing, cold gaze. That bastard!
