Chapter 315:

I walked briskly into the kitchen, quietly shutting the door behind me to avoid drawing attention. A sigh of relief escaped me when I saw that no workers were around.

I preferred this kitchen to the other five because it was less crowded. Aside from a few maids, only the triplets had access to it. It was the triplet Kings’ personal kitchen, and I felt lucky to have access to it tonight.

I walked over to the built-in kitchen island at the center of the room, its beautiful marble surface complementing the rest of the kitchen. My fingers tapped rhythmically against the cool marble as I pondered what to drink.

A cold glass of orange juice would do.

My face lit up as I headed toward the towering refrigerator that reflected my image. Opening it, I pulled out a bottle of orange juice, placed it on the island, and shut the refrigerator door. Next, I searched for a glass cup. My excitement faded when I realized the cups were stored far above my reach.

How did the maids manage to reach them?

I tiptoed, stretching my arm as far as I could toward the cabinet mounted on the wall, but it was no use. Maybe I needed to climb onto a stool.

Before I could turn around, the glass cup I had been trying to reach was suddenly taken by… someone.

I barely had time to process what was happening when I found myself face-to-face with Devin and Dax.

“Hello, mate. Couldn’t sleep?” they said in unison, their voices sending my heart racing.

Their presence overwhelmed me, causing me to lean back against the lower cabinet for support.

“What’s wrong, doll?” Dax asked, leaning closer to me. His proximity made me even more aware of the edge of the cabinet digging into my back and the way my skimpy nightgown had ridden up slightly.

I became acutely conscious of my bareness.

Fuck.

I cursed inwardly, blaming myself for not wearing panties when I had the chance.

What were they even doing here?

Silly me—it was their personal kitchen!

“What’s troubling you, mate?” Devin asked, his voice sending a flutter through my stomach.

Every time he called me “mate,” I could feel my heart melt a little more.

“Nothing, I just came for a glass of juice,” I replied nervously, avoiding their gaze as I searched for a way to escape back to my room.

It was as if Devin could read my thoughts. He stepped forward, blocking the only exit, a dark smirk playing on his lips.

Fuck!

“Why settle for a glass of juice when we can give you something better?” Dax whispered against my ear, his tongue lightly grazing it and sending a shiver down my spine.

“I think I have to go,” I stammered, trying to excuse myself, but Devin’s hands gripped me tightly, pinning me against the cabinet.

I glanced at them, and the desire burning in their eyes was unmistakable. They stared at me like savage beasts, their eyes glowing brightly, reflecting the moonlight that streamed through the window.
