Chapter 327:

Would she ever forgive me?

Unknown

Yawning tiredly, Ray shifted in his sleep, rolling onto his side.

Even as he drifted deeper into slumber, his hands instinctively reached across the king-sized bed, fingers gliding over the duvet. As if expecting something in return, he burrowed further, caressing the fabric, but the more he searched, the more he was met with nothing but empty space.

Damn it.

A jolt of shock coursed through him, his eyes snapping open. Horror filled them as he took in the vacant bed.

Where was she?

Had she…

No.

He wasn’t going to be pessimistic.

She was probably in the bathroom, cleaning herself up after the intense night they had spent together.

Jessie was different from any other woman he had encountered.

“Jessie,” he called, her name leaving his throat in a groggy groan as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

The warmth of the duvet tempted him to sink back into its embrace, but he craved something more—her presence, her scent, her touch.

The bed felt far too big without her, his body instinctively seeking the press of her soft curves against his arousal, his arms wrapped tightly around her.

Sweet heavens.

“Jessie, baby, daddy is waiting,” he murmured again, yawning before hissing impatiently.

A groan rolled off his lips as frustration bubbled inside him.

Realization dawned, and a slow smirk curled his lips as he licked them hungrily.

“You want to play hide and seek? I’m in,” he chuckled darkly. “But for keeping daddy waiting, that’s five extra rounds without mercy.”

His voice dropped, his tone dripping with wicked amusement.

“You’ll be touching your toes while I slam into you… that’s the consequence.”

Rubbing his palms together, he glanced down at his hardened length, his smirk deepening.

“Or you can come out, and we can have a nice sleep,” he paused briefly, waiting for a reaction.

Silence.

His patience wore thin. Without hesitation, he sprang from the bed and sprinted toward the kitchen.

“Come out, come out, wherever you are,” he sang, his eyes scanning the space.

No sign of Jessie.

He wasn’t giving up yet. He rushed to the bathroom, pushing the door open before surveying every corner.
