Chapter 335
Chapter 335:
Ray cleared his throat as he exchanged a nervous glance with Rosa. “Nothing much. I woke up feeling strangely happy, and I want us to spend the rest of the day drinking and celebrating,” he suggested, his hands caressing the edge of the bottle.
“Why don’t we dance first?” Rosa proposed.
Her eyes never left Ray’s confused gaze as she watched how her words unsettled him.
“I would suggest we have a drink first, then we can dance,” he said firmly, hoping his suggestion would ease her into agreeing, allowing him to carry out his plan without raising suspicion.
“Very well then, let’s drink,” Rosa smiled, stretching out a glass to him.
Unknown
Ray’s excitement tripled as his plans were progressing smoothly without any interruptions. It seemed getting rid of Rosa was going to be a piece of cake. He should have done it a long time ago.
He flashed a smile at her, revealing his crooked teeth while collecting the glass cups. “Would you play us a song, something light, a happy song while I pour us a drink?” he requested politely.
Rosa fought back the urge to roll her eyes at his pretense. “Sure,” she nodded, quickly dashing to the nightstand where her phone lay.
As she focused on her phone, searching for a suitable song, Ray swung into action. His fingers disappeared into his pocket, reappearing with a piece of paper between them.
Ray watched Rosa carefully from the corner of his eye, observing her every movement and body language. His heart hammered against his ribs as the tension began to overwhelm him.
Satisfied that she was completely engrossed in her phone and unaware of his intentions, he quietly unfolded the paper and sprinkled a powdery substance into Rosa’s glass before quickly folding the paper and shoving it back into his pocket.

Clearing his throat, struggling to contain his excitement, he filled Rosa’s cup with wine first, setting it aside before filling his own. A cruel smile briefly appeared on his face as he shut his eyes, savoring the moment of victory.
“Easy peasy, lemon squeezy,” he muttered to himself, flashing a self-satisfied smile as he congratulated himself.
He couldn’t believe how smart and calculating he was. A rare genius.
With a deliberate twirl, he held Rosa’s drink in his hand, walking up to her as she remained engrossed with her phone.
“Here, my lady,” he offered her the drink with a charming smile. Rosa, in turn, returned his smile with a dark smirk while accepting the glass.
A fleeting look of pity crossed her face, and before Ray could comprehend what was happening, Rosa stretched her hand and placed the glass of wine into his. She smiled briefly.
It happened so quickly that Ray felt stupid for letting her pull a fast one on him. His heart pounded with anxiety and fear, and he could feel his hands growing moist with sweat.
He didn’t understand what was going on with Rosa. He furrowed his brows, his eyes filled with a thousand unspoken questions.
“What was that for?” he asked, glancing at the glass before raising his eyes to meet hers.
Rosa forced a short smile before clasping her hands together.
