Chapter 84
Chapter 84:
To think she even tried to take her life!
But I wasn’t in the mood to punish her now.
I crossed to the other side of the road, moving further when a swift movement and the sound of footsteps filled my ears. I ignored it at first, but when the footsteps drifted further, something clicked in my mind.
My eyes darted to my car immediately, and disappointment hit me when I saw the door left slightly open.
She escaped!
Great.
Without wasting another second, I quickened my pace, dashing after her in hot pursuit.
“You’re so dumb if you think running away was the solution!” I called out, catching my breath. “You’ll die faster than you can reach your destination!”
“I don’t care. As long as I’m away from you,” she shot back.
In no time, her legs grew weak, and her pace slowed, making it easy for me to catch up.
“Stop running!” I ordered, gritting my teeth as rage consumed me.
Why was she always acting so recklessly?
The first was consuming wolfsbane, and now running away?!
“Aurora!” I warned, using my Alpha tone, but she refused, pushing deeper into the heart of the woods.
In a flash of light, a trap caught her left leg as she wasn’t quick enough to dodge it. She fell flat on her face, bruising her pale skin.
“You are so—” I hadn’t finished my sentence before a string yanked her into the woods. Soon, I was surrounded by rogues.

Their foul odor gave them away.
“Leave her!” I commanded, using my Alpha tone, but one of them began to laugh.
A boiling fury swelled inside of me at the thought that I wasn’t being taken seriously.
All I could think about was ripping their throats out as irritation surged through me, making my muscles tense.
“She is ours,” another rogue declared, then forced her to stand upright and pointed a gun, loaded with silver bullets, at her head.
“One move and she’s gone. Poof!” a male rogue threatened before bursting into maniacal laughter.
“Don’t save me. Just go… please,” Aurora stammered, gasping for breath.
The moment Aurora flashed those charming eyes at me, all the anger I had toward her evaporated, and an irrational decision took over me.
How dare they lay their filthy hands on my property!
My eyes flashed red as the desire to drown them in their own blood overtook me. “Let’s do this the hard way, then.”
My pulse raced, and my breathing became erratic. The thought of their hands on Aurora’s fine skin sickened me, making my body temperature rise. I could feel my blood boil in rage.
My claws extended from my hands, and I bared my canines at them before letting out a series of howls, declaring war.
