Chapter 820
Chapter 820 Athena Became Depressed
The hotel room was filled with the faint smell of fruity aromatherapy.
Athena looked at Byron. "Don't you know that I hate that part of the past? Why do you keep bringing it
up?"
"I want to know why you did that!" Byron's lips were bloodless. His face was pale, but the corners of his
eyes were red.
"What do you want to prove with the answer?" Athena laughed speechlessly. "If you want to hear from
me that I did it because I love you, then you are too ridiculous."
Byron's eyes turned redder.
"I'm tired of saying this. How much I loved you back then means how odious you were at that time."
Athena raised her hand and gently brushed Byron's pale cheek. Byron looked at her, wanting to cry. "If
you really want to live with me, don't always think about the past. The past has been completely
destroyed by you, and there will never be such a past again."
"I really changed." Byron's voice sounded choked with sobs, and his eyes were filled with humble pleas
that shouldn't belong to him.
Athena was silent for a moment.
Out of nowhere, she thought of Freya again.
"She thought of the way Freya looked at her that day in the
Lauries Mansion."
She thought of it again.
A few years ago, Byron yelled at her impatiently many times, saying contemptuously, "You must
recognize your position. Don't daydream about what doesn't belong to you. You will never be able to
replace the existence of Freya."
"Investigate the matter of the chemical plant as soon as possible." Athena withdrew her hand, got up,
and went to Aiden and Mia's room.
In the spacious living room, Byron sat alone on the huge sofa.
He had never suffered such a setback in his life.
He was constantly being rejected after constantly pleasing her.
He slowly fell back on the back of the sofa. His arm was still in pain after the anesthetic had worn off.
Now the pain was worse.
He really wanted to use a lot of money to hire someone to invent a time machine. Then he could go
back to see Byron ten years ago and tell him that Athena would be more important to him than his life
in the future.
He had to tell him that he must restrain his temper, love her, and protect her. He couldn't regard her as
anyone's substitute.
Early the next morning.
Athena asked Byron's family doctor who had rushed over yesterday to reapply medicine for Byron's
wound.
She hadn't slept well last night.
She was still sleeping late in bed. Aiden and Mia came out to see if Byron was okay. After confirming
that he was not dead, they were relieved.
Then they went back to the room hand in hand and slept with Athena.
Evie and Aron got up earlier. They went to a nearby viewing platform to watch the sunrise and then
went to a famous old restaurant to have a famous local breakfast.
When they came back, they just saw Mia confirming whether Byron was alive or not.
They thought it was funny.
"That's Mia. She has seen a lot and knows that everything will be fine if one doesn't die," Evie said with
a smile, leaning on Aron's arm.
After she finished speaking, she yawned and then thought of something. "I haven't slept with Athena for
a long time. The bed in the hotel is big. I'm going to join in the fun!"
Then Evie ignored Byron's livid face and happily followed Mia and Aiden.
She carried Mia and kissed her while walking.
From a distance, Byron could still hear Mia say helplessly, "Evie, be gentler. My face will be deformed!"
