Chapter 60

I gaped at them still feeling the pain from the whip when the other which I was yet to know his name and seemed to be more enraged and cruel picked the rod from the table,

"I lost my mate because of your father!!!" I thundered and like a dream, he slammed it on my head forcing blood to spurt out, I shrilled and convulsed in great pain, the chains clanking, my cries reverberating the whole room,

The thick red substance flowed from my head down to my face, I pleaded and pleaded yet he wasn't dropping the rod instead he raised it again,

My heart shredded into pieces,

Please don't hit me that, I'll die......." My voice hitched as another hit rammed on my bareback this time,

I couldn't bear it anymore, I fell flat on the floor, the pain rushing through every part of me, I felt dizzy and knew I was going to die soon, my vision was blurry but yet I could see him raise the rod to hit me again...

My eyes shut instantly as I waited for the last hit that would take my life,

"Alpha, Beta!..there is a news circulating now" I heard another strange voice, "What is that?"

"Scarlett the daughter of Alpha Darren has been killed and her butchered body sent back to him" the stranger's voice replied and my heart hitched,

"Who did that?"

"Jason faked to be her mate and took her to his pack, Alpha Javier his father killed her and sent her body back to Alpha Darren as a reply for the message he sent to him!" I heard the strange voice reply again and my heart stopped breathing.

My sister is dead?...

I felt a sharp pain in my heart recalling it was Jason who tricked her to her death, I had foolishly trusted the wrong person, I left my sister to follow him to his pack not knowing he was a wolf in sheep's clothing and was planning her death all this while...

My heart bled the more as I lost my breath and everything blackout, I must be dead now.

"Dad, this is dangerous, are you sure you are ready for this battle, have you found out Darren's secret?" I huffed to my father after finding out what he did,

It was so shocking to me, I felt like fainting, fear was all that filled me yet I wonder why dad wasn't feeling that way. All I could see in his eyes were rage and fire of vengeance, he was just too blinded by revenge and isn't aware of how disastrous this could be.

"Are you afraid of Darren?" He asked sipping the wine from the table,

We were both in the palace, warriors were bracing up for war, the Beta, Gamma and their mates had also gone away to set their weapons ready,

I had been in my room when the news got to my ear from one of the guards, dad had sent me to leave the sitting room and I did so, u had even slept off in my room only to wake up and heard what Daddy did,

This is the most daring act anyone would do especially to a powerful figure Alpha Darren, he had always won every battle. He fights fiery, just how did Dad think we would defeat him.

"Are you affected by the death of your mate?" He asked with a smirk and that made me sigh,

"Dad, I'm not talking about mate here, have you found out why Darren had been winning every war he gets into, we all knew his history, how he took over many packs to serve under him, what made you think we would win him!" I half yelled getting pissed up at Dad,

Why would he bring up this war at a time when there is peace, many were going to die, not a single one of us knows if they will come back alive!

"The only way to know why Darren wins all war is to fight with him, we will have the war and I'll get to know what makes him emerge the winner at every single battle!!" Dad huffed and stood up,

"You should have dared him with every other thing and not killing his only daughter!!!!!" I barked in exasperation while he laughed loudly,

"Really?...you still wish she is alive, I'm sorry I can't let your mate distract you, I killed her myself so my son would be as powerful and cruel as me, you will have to rule with an iron fist, I can't give space for a mate in your life, join dad to get what he desires!" He replied dryly without any glimmer of emotion. He doesn't feel disturbed at all.

I let out a deep breath and walked away angrily,

"Be ready to fight, you are one of my war front warriors so get prepared for this, the pack who wins takes over the other, imagine us winning this war, Alpha Darren will be our slave and we would take control of every member of his pack, we will be respected and feared by the neighbouring pack, we will have our name in the everyone's lips...wow how sweet would that be?" He smirked and rubbed his hands in glee.

"And then have you thought of the reverse? What if we lose?" I asked with a deep growl,

"That is impossible when I have a strong Hybrid like you beside me, you got to fight with all the powers you got or would be a slave forever, you won't allow them to win knowing fully well that you would become a slave forever!!!" He gruffed with a taunting tone.
