The Amazing son in law Chapter 1067
Hannah was filled with fear as she attempted to roll away from Ethel, terrified that the iron hook would strike her face.
The sight of that menacing weapon made her shudder; it looked capable of injuring her severely!
But with her leg injured, Hannah found it impossible to continually evade Ethel’s relentless assault. If Ethel kept this up, Hannah knew it was only a matter of time before she succumbed to her fury!
Desperate to escape, Hannah tried to rise to her feet, but her wounded calf caused her to collapse back to the ground.
Ethel was already closing in on her, swinging the terrifying iron hook toward her. The source of thɪs content is Find_Novel(.)net
Hannah felt hopeless; she could no longer dodge the attack. With her eyes squeezed shut, she resigned herself to the thought that today might be her last.
Just when it seemed all was lost, several Toyota Land Cruiser Prados roared into the coal mine, halting right in front of them.
The bright headlights illuminated Ethel’s face, and a group of men leapt from the vehicles. One of them pointed a gun at Ethel and shouted, “What the hell are you doing? Drop the hook!”
Ethel was stunned by the sudden turn of events!
Having spent many years working in Macau’s casinos, she had encountered all sorts of individuals with various skills. While the coal mine’s security guards were intimidating, these newcomers radiated an even greater power and authority!
Shaken, Ethel stumbled and let the iron hook clatter to the ground.
A portly man with a round face approached Hannah, glanced at a picture on his phone, then back at her, and asked, “Are you Hannah Wilson?”
With a mix of panic and confusion, Hannah nodded, “Yes, that’s me. Who are you?”
The man replied matter-of-factly, “Hello, Mrs. Wilson. My name is Victor Firth, and I work for the Webb family of Southaven. I’m here to take you to Southaven.”
Hannah was bewildered and responded cautiously, “Hello, Mr. Firth… I… I don’t believe I know anyone from the Webb family…”
Victor said flatly, “Our master is aware that you are here because of Charlie Wade, and he sent me to rescue you. Please follow us to Southaven. He has important information for you, and then you will be reunited with your family.”
Hannah stared in disbelief. “Wait, what? Are you really going to rescue me and help me see my family?”
“Absolutely! What do you think I’m doing here? Just to mess with you?”
Overcome with joy, Hannah began to cry happy tears. “Thank you! Thank you, Mr. Webb! Thank you so much!”
Victor looked at her dirty appearance with distaste and directed a man beside him, “Let her sit in your car.”
“Sure thing, boss!”
The man holstered his gun and guided Hannah toward his vehicle.
Suddenly, an angry man stormed out of a nearby room, yelling, “Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing? You can’t just take my woman! She has to stay here!”
Victor’s expression turned to one of disdain. “And who might you be?”
The man, the coal mine’s supervisor, relished his authority in the absence of the boss. He puffed out his chest and declared, “I’m the safety supervisor here. Did you consult our boss before attempting to take his people? I warn you, he wields considerable power around here!”
“Didn’t your boss inform you? Didn’t he tell you he sold this place to our master?”
“Ha! Don’t make me laugh!” the supervisor scoffed. “If he had truly sold this place, he would have told me personally. I suspect you’re just here to take my woman, you sleazy dog!”
