Elaine lay on her bed, glued to her phone as she watched yet another drama. Stuck at home due to her injury, she was utterly bored and had resorted to binge-watching shows to pass the time.

Just as the drama reached a thrilling climax, an incessantly loud honk blasted from outside, grating on her nerves. Fuming, she marched to the balcony to investigate and spotted a shiny new Bentley parked right in front of her house. The obnoxious honking was coming from that very vehicle.

“Hey! Who the hell are you? Are you out of your mind? Why are you honking in front of my house?” Elaine shouted, her irritation palpable.

Inside the car, Christopher leaned toward the window and spotted Elaine on the balcony, hurling insults. He chuckled and remarked, “Look, Mom, the shrew is out cursing!”

“Haha!” Lady Wilson laughed heartily at Elaine’s outburst. “That shrew loves money above all else. When she realizes we’re back on track, she’ll be furious and envious. I’ll pretend to welcome them back into the family, and she’ll come crawling to me like a dog, just so I can humiliate her!”

Feeling triumphant, Lady Wilson stepped out of the car, eager to confront Elaine. But to her surprise, a basin of cold water came crashing down on her head.

Shivering from the sudden chill, Lady Wilson looked up to see Elaine standing there with a satisfied grin, holding the empty basin.

“Elaine, you little brat! Why on earth did you dump water on me?” Lady Wilson shouted in disbelief.

Now recognizing Lady Wilson, Elaine clicked her tongue in mockery. “Oh, I was wondering who the crazy person with that ridiculous car was! It’s you, old hag! Did your daughter-in-law strike it rich selling herself at the coal mine? Now she can afford a new car for you! What a piece of junk!”

Fuming, Lady Wilson retorted, “You imbecile! This is a Bentley! A Bentley Continental! Imported from the UK and worth three million!”

Elaine leaned casually against the balcony railing, a smirk on her face. “Wow, a three-million-dollar car makes you feel special, huh? Do you know what kind of cars my daughter and son-in-law drive?”

Lady Wilson scoffed, “A BMW 520! I know that! I could buy her ten of those!”

Elaine scoffed right back, “Stop barking nonsense in front of my house, you arrogant old bat! So what if it’s a three-million-dollar Bentley? My son-in-law drives two luxury sports cars, each worth forty to fifty million! We could buy ten of your cars! Why don’t you take a good look in the mirror at your green face?”

Harold rolled down the window, leaned out, and sneered, “Elaine, still bragging even after losing your front teeth, huh? How can Charlie—a total loser—drive a fifty-million-dollar car? He doesn’t even deserve to sit in one!”

Elaine spat some peanut shells in Harold’s direction and shot back, “Harold, don’t try to play the hero. You should get a DNA test to confirm if you’re truly a Wilson, considering your mother’s penchant for affairs! There’s a chance you’re not your father’s biological son!”

“Shut up!” Harold growled, furious at Elaine’s jab about his mother’s past. “Keep talking like that, and I swear I’ll cut your tongue out!”

Elaine stuck her tongue out provocatively. “Come on then! Come and try it, you little brat! You think you’re tough!”

Enraged, Harold flung the car door open and stormed out, ready to confront Elaine.

“Harold, stop!” Lady Wilson commanded, waving him off. “I’ll handle this!”

Harold fell silent, still seething with anger.

Lady Wilson looked up at Elaine with a smug expression. “To be honest, Elaine, the Wilson family is back on track! We’ve overcome the debt crisis thanks to an eighty million investment! Are you jealous? If you beg nicely, I might let Clare and Jacob return to the Wilson Group, and your pension could be restored!”
