Just as Zara suggested, we should meet with the Takahashi family first, followed by the Ito family. As for when we leave, I think we should aim for earlier. I can have the crew ready to start right after lunch. What do you think?”
Zayne nodded in agreement. “Alright, you two should make the most of your time. After lunch, don’t rush off. Go report to your grandfather first. Share your plans and ideas with him. If he has no objections, you can get ready to depart!”
“Sounds good, Dad,” Fitz replied, then quickly winked at Zara. “Come on, Zara.”
Zara nodded and followed Fitz out of Zayne’s study.
Once outside, Fitz scolded her, “You really have a knack for getting on Dad’s nerves. Why did you have to mention Stefanie?”
Zara laughed and teased, “Why not? You’ve clearly been keeping it to yourself. Are you really going to just accept whatever the family decides for your future?”
Fitz sighed, “We come from a certain background, and everything we have is set from the day we’re born. The real issue is the lack of autonomy. Don’t you realize that? Why do you keep pushing back against Dad?”
“I’m just having fun,” Zara said, her expression turning serious. With her short hair framing her determined face, she declared, “No one will dictate my future!”
Fitz shook his head in exasperation. “Alright, I won’t engage you in these pointless discussions. We’ll be in Japan for a few days, so start packing your things. We’ll visit Grandpa after dinner, and then we can prepare to leave.” Zara lazily stretched and replied, “Ugh, it’s too early. I’ll take a nap in my room. Just come wake me up.”
