“Friend?!” Albert shouted, kicking Jake in the chest. “Mr. Wade is the bright moon in my heart! I can only ever look up to him! How could I be his friend?!”

His face pale, Jake continued, “Mr. Wade, if you spare me, I’ll hand over all my assets to you!”
Hearing this, Aaron immediately interjected, “Jake! Are you out of your mind? I’ve given you a lot of money, and half of those assets belong to my daughter!”
“You old fool! Just be quiet!”
Jake glared angrily at Aaron, gritting his teeth. “You blind old dog! Can’t you see I’m about to lose my life here?”
Aaron was genuinely shocked; he never expected Jake to lash out at him like this. He shot back, “You… how dare you speak to me like that?! Don’t forget, I’m your father!”
“To hell with you!” Jake spat bitterly. “If you hadn’t pushed me to take revenge on Mr. Wade’s father-in-law, I would never have offended him!”
Then, with tears in his eyes, Jake turned to Charlie and pleaded, “Mr. Wade, this old man has been telling me to ridicule you and your father-in-law today! He’s the reason I offended you! He’s the real culprit! He’s the one you should chop up and feed to the dogs!”
