The Amazing son in law Chapter 795
After editing and sharing some of her photos online, Elaine intentionally included a few images where she sported a shy expression. Additionally, she tagged the location of her villa at Thompson First in these posts.
The moment Elaine uploaded her pictures, they quickly garnered likes and comments from many people.
Her friends showered her with compliments, expressing admiration for the opulence and grandeur of her villa. It truly astonished everyone that Elaine could afford to live in a luxurious property valued at over one hundred million dollars—a fact that was beyond the comprehension of those who knew her.
Meanwhile, the Wilson family found themselves in a rather dismal situation, dining on duck and boiled cabbage.
The matriarch, Lady Wilson, who managed the family finances, was displeased with Christopher and his children for contradicting her the day before. As a result, she decided they should endure a bit of hardship.
Earlier that morning, she had purchased only some duck and two cabbages at the market. After washing and chopping the vegetables, she proceeded to simmer everything into a pot.
Feeling her age, Lady Wilson had a small appetite and opted for a light clear soup, avoiding anything heavy or greasy. She was indifferent to whether Christopher, Harold, and Wendy enjoyed the meal; it was up to them.
Christopher, Harold, and Wendy felt helpless and frustrated, unable to afford a better meal. They had no choice but to eat what Lady Wilson had prepared.
Although the duck appeared sizable, it was mostly bones with little meat. Harold could only gnaw on a bone, leaving him still hungry after the meal.
As boredom set in during dinner, Harold decided to check what his friends had posted online.
Out of nowhere, Harold stumbled upon Elaine’s photos and messages. His anger boiled over as he gritted his teeth and slammed his chopsticks onto the table. “Damn it! That cunning Elaine has already moved into the villa at Thompson First! How is she even worthy of living there? God must be blind!” he exclaimed.
Hearing Harold’s outburst, Lady Wilson quickly grabbed her cell phone to see Elaine’s posts. Fury surged through her!
“That wretched girl! She’s flaunting her ten-bedroom villa like it’s nothing! She’s doing this to provoke me!”
Filled with resentment, Lady Wilson couldn’t help but curse Elaine. Despite the many rooms in the villa, Elaine wouldn’t even offer her a space! The old lady felt an overwhelming urge to lash out, wishing she could stab Elaine a thousand times to relieve her frustration.
Christopher also glanced at Elaine’s posts, his anger mounting as he compared the lavish images to the pitiful pot of duck and cabbage before him. Infuriated, he lost his appetite and decided to blacklist Elaine.
Out of sight, out of mind!
Wendy, too, saw Elaine’s posts and was equally furious. Read complete version only at FιndNovel.net
Noticing the glum expressions on her family’s faces, Lady Wilson quickly reassured them, “Don’t take Elaine’s words to heart. I believe she’ll be kicked out of that villa soon enough.”
Clearing her throat, she continued, “Our priority now is to strategize on how to help the Wilson Group navigate through these tough times and restore it to its former glory!”
Christopher retorted angrily, “How are we supposed to overcome our difficulties? We owe tens of millions in debt! What can we do? Our villa is so old! If we sold it, we might only get around seventeen or eighteen million at best.”
Then, looking at Elaine’s posts again, he suggested, “Mom, we could raise at least tens of millions by selling Dad’s antiques, right? Why not let me handle that? I could sell them, and then we could buy another house, ensuring we have a place to stay if the bank takes our villa!”
Lady Wilson’s expression hardened as she replied, “Buy a house? Do you think I’d even get to live there if you did? If I can’t pay my debts, I’ll end up in prison! At my age, do you really think I could survive in there?”
