Unflinching, Janice met Nellie’s steady look and continued confidently, “Ladies and gentlemen, the Blue Heart is the brainchild of Leah Sugden, chief designer at Freak Design. You all know her, don’t you?”
The assembled crowd murmured their acknowledgment.
Encouraged by their response, Janice added, “Leah always embeds a unique mark on her finest creations. This signature not only signifies her pride but also serves to authenticate her work.”
As Janice finished speaking, murmurs swept through the crowd.
“Leah embeds secret marks? That’s new to me.”

“What are you doing?” Nina clutched Delilah’s wrist firmly, her tone severe. “Are you trying to confuse both necklaces?” Everyone frowned. With the two necklaces mixed up, even if they confirmed one had the letters LJE, they still couldn’t figure out which one belonged to Janice.
