“He promised to back your fan event completely. He’ll handle everything—funding, location, and all the details—to the finest degree.”
“Ugh, he just couldn’t help himself, could he?” Carman scoffed, clearly annoyed. “I thought he’d have the decency to wait until after the fan event, when everyone was watching me.”
Yvonne turned, sitting on Carman’s lap, her hands framing his face. “So, are you going to take his offer?”
With a cunning smile, Carman lifted her chin slightly. “Absolutely. He’s asked for it, so I’ll make sure he doesn’t get away without a public apology at the event.”

“Take a deep breath and sip some coffee,” Janice said calmly, handing her the cup. “But be careful—”
