“Aiden, what on earth are you doing here?” Janice asked, her voice hushed and laced with irritation as Aiden drew near.

“How could I stay away if you’re here?” Without missing a beat, Aiden plopped himself down beside Janice. “He insisted on joining. What was I supposed to do? Tell him to scram and risk the show going belly-up?” Devin sighed, throwing up his hands in mock surrender. Honestly, this entire cast feels like a powder keg ready to blow. The only ones who seem normal are Demi and Carlton. Everyone else? Either they’ve got some serious clout or they are the clout. I’m just trying to keep the wheels turning without this thing going up in smoke.”

Leah shook her head, grasping Devin’s reservations instantly. Janice’s current status remained under wraps, yet with her influence in play, Devin knew better than to take her lightly.
