"Ms. Sullivan, you have visitors."
The knock on the door from the server snapped Amara out of her thoughts. She walked over to open it and found a waiter from the castle standing there, flanked by two tall figures-Finnian and Dorian.
The moment she saw Dorian, her expression turned icy. "What do you want?"
How did Finnian and Dorian find their way here? They're always busy, and it's the weekend-don't they have something better to do?
"Where's Elysia?" Dorian demanded, stepping forward with a stormy expression.
Yesterday, when he called Elysia, she was out drinking. Then, the call abruptly ended, and she didn't pick up again, not even once throughout the night.
Elysia hadn't exactly kept her outing a secret. Dorian learned their location from her assistant and decided to come over, dragging Finnian along since he heard Amara was here too.
"She's still asleep. Is it urgent?" Amara replied, dodging his question because she wasn't entirely sure where Elysia was at the moment.
"I need to see her," Dorian insisted.
The way he spoke grated on Amara. He acted like seeing Elysia was his right, like he could just demand her presence at any moment. Who did he think he was?
Back when Elysia tried to stop him from seeing Jessica, he never listened. So why should he have any say over Elysia now?
"What do you need to see her for this early in the morning?" Amara shot back irritably. "Ely's resting. Come back when she's up."
"I'm her husband. I can see her whenever I damn well please," Dorian's voice carried an air of entitlement.
Amara chuckled, almost amused. "Mr. Hawke, you and Ely aren't exactly a picture-perfect couple. What makes you think you can say that?"
"And why wouldn't we be considered a normal couple?" Dorian asked, his brows knitting together.
Amara glared at him, icy and
unyielding. In a normal marriage, husbands don't spend all their time with other women or neglect their wives for them. If you think you and Elysia are a normal couple, you' better find someone else who believes that nonsense." s
Her words left Dorian looking rather uncomfortable, but he couldn't argue back.
Just then, the door behind them creaked open, and Elysia emerged, rubbing her eyes, still half-asleep. "Who's making all the noise this early?" she mumbled.
She'd been woken by the commotion outside, and without even changing, she padded out in her silk nightgown and slippers.
Elysia's nightgown revealed a few
vibrant red marks on her pale shoulders-clearly kiss marks.

Dorian's eyes flared with anger and he stormed ove Elysia What did you do last night?"

Caught off guard by Dorian's presence so early, Elysia frowned. "What do you
want, Dorian? What I do is none of your business."
Dorian's gaze was locked on the
marks on her skin. They hadn't been intimate in a long time, so there was no way he was responsible for them. That meant she'd been with another man. s
His body trembled with rage, eyes blazing like hot coals. "I'm asking you again,
who were you with last night and what did you do?"
