Chapter 120
“You’re just what I need. Your blood holds the key to unlocking the secrets of immortality.”
Sebastian smirked as he stared at the weakened and unconscious body of Valen’s mate-Ella. He would destroy everything that Valen holds dear, starting from his mate. It’s quite unfortunate he couldn’t kill her yet, but he would use her to show to Valen what it meant to be hurt.
He didn’t want to underestimate her powers. Though she was surrounded with silver, he still made sure she wasn’t fed so she would be too weak to resist what he intended to do.
Murmurs and whispers of why Valen hadn’t arrived yet, despite his mate being captured, were already spreading amongst his allies and he knew he needed to act fast before their impatience ruins his plans.
He watched as Ella slowly regained consciousness.
“Finally you’re awake” Sebastian chuckled dryly.
Ella slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry at first, she shook her head to regain some clarity. A sharp throbbing pain in her wrist had pulled her out from unconsciousness. Her body felt heavy, drained, like all her strength had been sucked out of her. Ella’s stomach twisted at the sight of Sebastian lounging lazily in a chair across from her, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement. He twirled a dagger between his fingers, the blade catching the dim light, reflecting a red blood stain.
Her blood.
Ella swallowed hard, as she forced herself to speak, her throat dry. “What do you want from me Sebastian? What did you do to me?”
Sebastian stood, stretching leisurely as if he had all the time in the world. “Oh, Ella,” he sighed, stepping closer. “Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to?”
Her fingers curled into fists, trembling from weakness, the chains rattling with the slight movement. “You’re a monster,” she spat.
He smirked, bending down to meet her gaze. “I agree, but yet, you’re the one with the blood of the gods.”
Ella’s breath hitched as he grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his piercing eyes. They held nothing but hunger, a greed far beyond mere power-it was obsession.
“Your blood,” he murmured, trailing a finger down her cheek, “is unlike any other. And I intend to have all of it.”
Ella’s breath hitched. She jerked her face away, but the movement sent a fresh wave of dizziness crashing over her. How much had he already taken?
“You won’t get away with this,” she whispered, her voice shaking despite her attempt to show strength.
Sebastian laughed darkly, standing to his full height. “Oh, sweetheart, I already have.”
His eyes darkened. Then, without warning, he plunged the dagger into her arm.
“Arrrrrrgggh” Ella screamed as the pain shot through her.
Sebastian smirked. A deep satisfaction coursing through him as he watched blood spill from Ella’s wound, trickling into the glass vial he held beneath her arm. He had been patient, waiting for this moment, and now it was here.
“Such a waste,” he mocked, shaking the vial slightly, watching the thick liquid swirl. “You don’t even realize the gift you carry within you.”
Ella gasped, her body trembling as he collected more of her blood. Her skin had begun to pale, but her defiant glare hadn’t dimmed.
“You used an innocent pup as your lab rat to spread your plague.”
“How could you?” she screamed, pulling on the chains, willing it to let her loose so she could charge at Kevin and tear that stunned expression off his hideous face.
“Ella calm down” Kevin said, coming closer to her. “Honestly, I didn’t know you were ever pregnant, I just thought you left the pack because you couldn’t face the fact I made Sandra my Luna. But all that is in the past now, I can get you out of here.”
Ella’s chest heaved up and down from anger as Kevin’s fingers traced her chin.
“Let go of me, you filthy, disgusting, rotten depraved scum of the earth. You are a vile, loathsome excuse of one of the creatures of the moon goddess!” Ella snapped, her voice filled with venom as she spat at him.
Kevin was stunned as he touched his face, seeing the wet mark on his fingers, his anger flared and he landed Ella a hot slap, tilting her face the other side with the force.
“How dare you!? I was only trying to rescue you, but it seems you love your chains more” Kevin growled through gritted teeth.
“Are you waiting for Valen to come rescue you? It’s been how many days now and you’re still here—an excuse of a living being” Kevin continued.
Ella slowly raised her head to face him, her eyes matching his anger but hers was filled with hatred. “I would rather die! than ever be with you, Kevin.”
Kevin’s expression twisted with contempt “Suit yourself, you’re dead anyway.” he muttered under his breath before turning and striding out in anger.
