By the time Yolanda's mind drifted back from her memories, the car had already stopped in the Walker family's courtyard.

Besides their car, there was an unfamiliar Porsche parked in the yard.

"That must be Eden visiting. Your father has a good impression of him. You should get along with him. If all goes well, we should finalize the engagement soon. Yolanda, don't waste your thoughts on people who aren't worth it. You are our only daughter, and everything we do is for your own good."

After her heartfelt speech, Mrs. Walker led Yolanda into the house.

In the living room, Mr. Walker and Eden were sitting on the sofa, engaged in a lively conversation.

Eden was a good conversationalist and knew how to charm people. Mr. Walker's hearty laughter frequently filled the room.

Mrs. Walker walked in with Yolanda.

Mr. Walker smiled and said, "I was just saying you two should be back, and here you are."

"Eden, this is my wife, and my daughter, Yolanda."

"Yolanda, this is Eden. Mr. Thompson's eldest son," Mr. Walker introduced.

Eden stood up respectfully from the sofa and greeted Mrs. Walker and Yolanda. He was perfectly polite, leaving no room for criticism.

When he looked at Yolanda, his gaze was polite and gentle, showing her proper respect without being forward.

Yolanda was good-looking, but not a great beauty.

Eden had seen all kinds of women; if he wanted beauty, he could have it in abundance. He didn't care about Yolanda's looks, only her status, family background, and the benefits she could bring him.

Although Yolanda was reluctant, she did as her parents gestured and went outside with Eden.

That evening, Eden had dinner at the Walker family's home before taking his leave.

After Eden left, Mr. and Mrs. Walker asked for Yolanda's opinion.

"Yolanda, what do you think of Eden? Your father and I both think

he's quite good. When he inherits the Thompson family in the future you will still be the future mistress of the Thompson family."
