Chapter 550

Yvonne walked over to the bed, and Bennett reached out, pulling her onto his lap.

"It's easier to talk," Bennett said, holding her close. His warm breath brushed against her cheek and neck. "Are they filming the study and kitchen tomorrow too?"

Yvonne's cheeks flushed as she gave him a playful glare. Leaning her head on his shoulder, she replied, "You were in my room, so I had to send her to check the study and kitchen. I couldn't let her see you looking all disheveled."

Bennett was wearing a shirt with two buttons torn from the collar, revealing a muscular chest that rose and fell with his breathing, exuding pure masculine charm.

"And whose fault is it that I'm disheveled?" Bennett chuckled, leaning in to give her a soft peck on the lips.

"Don't mess around, my assistant is still here," Yvonne said, giving him a little push. In the process, she accidentally bumped the nightstand, knocking the script to the floor.

Bennett bent down, picked up the script, and placed it back on the nightstand. "A fantasy drama?"

"Yeah," Yvonne replied. "Sandra sent me the script to look over. But it's a major production from Ace Entertainment, and every actor in the industry has their eye on it. A resource this good probably won't fall into my lap."

"Not very confident, are you?" Bennett said, gently pinching her nose.

"I'm just being realistic," Yvonne said seriously.

She had some fame now, but she was still a long way from being A-list. Her acting

was decent but not exceptional, so she wasn't a strong contender.

"It's just a show. If you want it, I'll get it for you," Bennett said softly, his hand casually stroking her back.

He was always gentle and patient with Yvonne.

He had coddled her when she was young, and he continued to coddle her as she grew up. As long as he was around, he would always dote on her.

Competition for resources in the entertainment industry was fierce, but no company, whether it was Gold Star or Ace, would dare to disrespect the Thompson Group.

Whatever Yvonne wanted, Bennett could get it for her.

But Yvonne shook her head instinctively. "It's just a show. If the role is right for me, I'll get it naturally. If not, there's no point in forcing it."

Yvonne's arms were wrapped loosely around Bennett's neck. She continued, "You know I didn't get into this business for fame or

fortune I want to use my penet

as an artist to promote positivity, support charities, and do more meaningful things."

"I know," Bennett nodded. He didn't push.

What she wanted, he would give her. What she didn't, he would never force upon her.

"I can have anything I want?" Yvonne raised an eyebrow, her fingertip playfully tracing the edge of his open collar.

"Hey, my self-control isn't as good as

you think. If you tease me now, you'll have to face the consequences. Bennett caught her mischievous hand and pushed her down onto the bed.

Her hands still around his neck, Yvonne lifted her chin and initiated a kiss.

Bennett's breath caught. Just as he was about to respond, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

"Living room, study, and kitchen are

all checked. Are you done with the bedroom? Do you need, my help

2"

The assistant's words trailed off as she saw two figures entwined on the bed.

The assistant wasn't an idiot. She immediately turned around. "Uh, sorry to interrupt. Just pretend I was never here."

With that, the assistant hastily exited the bedroom, closing the door behind her.
