Chapter 415 The Lucky Couple

Leslie’s POV Official source is Find1Novel.net

“Hello, I’m the mall manager. It was an honor to hear such heavenly music,” the man said, excitement in his voice.

I tipped my hat slightly and nodded. “Thank you.”

“Are you two a couple?”

We both froze he hadn’t recognized us.

We didn’t confirm or deny.

He read us and smiled knowingly. “A pair this well–matched must be a couple! That kind of chemistry on the piano – who else would pull it off?”

I: “…”

Adler cleared his throat. “Excuse me–may I ask what this is about?”

“Congratulations – you’ve won!” His excitement was obvious.

We kept our faces neutral and waited.

He hurried on, explaining, “You two are today’s lucky couple. Our final event used this million- dollar piano for a duet, with no mistakes allowed. You not only met but exceeded our expectations!”

I raised an eyebrow, pausing. As a woman, gifts always tug at me, but this was a couple’s prize and Adler and I weren’t a couple. It felt awkward to take it.

Just as I was about to politely refuse, he added proudly, “Our mall is run by the Crimson Moon Pack – deep connections, generous prizes. This is a once–in–a–lifetime offer, very sincere!”

Crimson Moon Pack? Generous prize? I stiffened, almost letting out a bitter laugh, then caught myself.

Why pass up free stuff? I changed my mind in an instant. “All right. What’s the prize?”

After all, Crimson Moon Pack was footing the bill – why feel bad?

“At this moment, your purchases are all completely on the house,” he said, looking between us. “Excited?”

He clearly assumed we hadn’t bought anything and was trying to create regret to draw

customers back.

Fintment

Asphodel laughed inwardly. “Perfect marketing – pity he miscalculated. If he knew how much you spent today, he’d regret it.”

I found it amusing. I took the long receipt from my pocket and handed it over. “Here…”

His face changed. He took it with trembling hands and stared at the numbers.

His brain buzzed as he added up the total.

At least one item was 600,000; added together… fifty million.

His smile vanished. He stared at the receipt, drained of color.

Adler

gave a small, wry smile. “That’s a generous prize. Kirby must be flush; we should suggest he hold more events like this.”

I arched an eyebrow in full agreement. “Absolutely – quite the Crimson Moon Pack gesture.”

When he heard us say Kirby’s name, his face went even paler. Too late to back out now.

He licked dry lips, suddenly anxious. “Fifty million isn’t a small amount. I need to run it by the alpha…”

His voice sounded hoarse, like sand catching in his throat.

I blinked. “Aren’t you the manager? Can’t you decide? Or shall I call your alpha myself—”

I pulled out my phone.

He panicked. “Wait–no, I can authorize it! Miss, leave your bank account and name; fifty million will be transferred shortly!”

Unfazed, I smiled and gave him my contact details. “Thank you. I love this prize.”

With that, Adler and I left, one after the other.

He stood there, ashen–faced, like someone whose spirit had been snatched away.

Asphodel laughed out loud. “If he runs another raffle, his hands ought to be cut off!”

Adler glanced at me, still smiling. “Are the things you bought already sent back to the hotel?”

“Yes – they’re already there.”

“Wonder if Kirby will feel sorry when he hears about this?”

“They brought it on themselves.”
