Chapter 770
It rained during the night, and the air was now filled with the fresh scent of flowers and grass. Morning light filtered through the curtains as birds chirped merrily on the tree branches outside. Little Nina rolled over, and a small foot shot out, kicking the man squarely on his high-bridged nose-
A muffled grunt escaped Stewart's lips as he clutched his nose, his brows knitting together as he opened his eyes. The little girl woke up too but didn't realize she had just kicked someone. She was completely lost in the joy of waking up to see her father.
“Daddy~” Little Nina crawled over, pressing her small face close to Stewart's. Her beautiful big eyes blinked. "Good morning-"
What father could possibly resist such a sight? A broken nose would have been worth it. He reached out and ruffled his daughter's messy bedhead. "Good morning, sweetheart."
"Daddy, why were you holding your nose just now?" Little Nina tilted her head. "Did Mario secretly fart?"
Mario, who was just waking up, heard his sister slandering him. He sat up, rubbing his eyes, and glared at her with a frown. "Little Nina, I did not fart."
"Oh, if it wasn't you, then it wasn't me either!” Little Nina said, her eyes darting to Stewart.
Stewart said, "...It wasn't Daddy either."
"Then it must be..." Little Nina turned to look at the other side. "Huh? Mommy's not here! So it wasn't Mommy either!"
Stewart paused, only then noticing that a pillow had taken Briony's place. He sat up and checked the time. It wasn't even seven-thirty. Briony was up early. The two children were still arguing over who had let one rip and made their father hold his
nose.
"Mario, good kids don't lie. If you did it, you have to admit it."
Mario put his hands on his hips and frowned, emphasizing again, “It really wasn't me!"
This was a very serious matter. Little Nina frowned. "Well, it really wasn't me either!" With that, the two little ones turned their gazes back to Stewart.
Stewart was speechless. The man pinched the bridge of his nose. He felt that if he didn't clear this up, he would forever be known as 'the dad who farts and denies it'.
Stewart sighed. "I was holding my nose because you accidentally kicked it."
"Huh?" Little Nina blinked. The next second, she scrambled over and gently touched Stewart's chiseled. nose with her small hands. I'm e
sorry, Daddy. I didn't mean to. Does
it still hurt?"
Stewart gently supported his daughter's small body, a doting smile on his face. "It's okay. It doesn't hurt anymore, Daddy's fine."
"I'll be careful next time, Daddy."
"It's alright." Stewart paused, then said, "Today, Mommy and Daddy are taking you camping."
Upon hearing they were going camping with their parents, the siblings were instantly delighted. Stewart led them to the children's room The two were already able to brush their teeth and wash their faces on their own. Seeing that they were quite independent, Stewart left; them to it and went back to the guest room on the third floor.
Briony had woken up at six-thirty. Seeing the father and his two
children sleeping so soundly, she hadn't disturbed them. She got up, washed, changed into her yoga clothes, and went to the suncom to practice. After her severe illness, she was now paying much more attention to her health. Kendal had suggested she try yoga. By the time she finished her workout and returned to the room, the three of them were gone. Knowing they were all up, Briony went straight into the bathroom for a shower. A few minutes later, the bathroom door opened. Briony, wearing a bathrobe, walked out and headed directly for the walk-in closet. They were taking the kids camping today, so she chose a comfortable, casual outfit. As she came out of the closet, the bedroom door happened to open. Stewart, already showered and changed, stood there in a white t-shirt and light blue casual jeans.
