After they finished eating, the two of them headed to the school auditorium.

Esaham University’s freshman year started later than most schools, and yesterday had been the first day for all the new students. Now, the auditorium was alive with about two thousand people.

“My department’s over there. I’ll go ahead,” Wendy said. “I’ll catch up with you after the meeting.”

Fernanda nodded and quickly found the Esports Academy’s section, settling into a seat at the edge.

Feeling bored, she looked around, watching the students come and go. Unbeknownst to Fernanda, she had already caught the attention of numerous students, making her the subject of their whispers.

“Hey, that girl is so pretty!”

“Yeah, looks like she’s a new student in the Esports Academy, given where she’s sitting.”

“A pretty girl who plays games? Gamers can be attractive too.”

“I know her. She aced the entrance exam and was the top scorer!”

The boys whispering had just met the day before, and with nothing else to talk about, they picked random topics to fill the silence.

At the sound of this, everyone turned to look and saw a lovely girl sitting next to Fernanda.

Fernanda, lost in her thoughts, suddenly heard a clear voice beside her.

Fernanda turned to see a girl with two long ponytails that cascaded down to her waist.

The girl had a round face, a pointed chin, and big, bright eyes behind large black-framed glasses, giving her an irresistibly cute look.

Fernanda stood up to let the girl slip past her.

The girl had a rabbit-shaped backpack, its long ears swinging in rhythm with her ponytails.

“Are you a new student in the Esports Academy as well?” Fernanda asked.

The girl looked like she could easily be mistaken for a middle schooler, and no one would question it.

“Yeah!” The girl smiled, showing two dimples. “I looked around and saw you were the only other girl, so I thought I’d sit with you.” She was quite the chatterbox. As soon as she sat down, her mouth started moving non-stop. First, she complained about the heat, then wondered why there were so few girls in the Esports Academy. She grumbled about the disappointing breakfast that had left her feeling a little off and finished by venting about how frustrating last night’s game had been with terrible teammates.
