Chapter 351
Chapter 351:
“I…” Erika’s voice faltered, her heart trembling with a mix of disbelief and frustration. She couldn’t bear it. It was her credit—why had Fernanda taken it from her?
Anger welled up inside her, and without thinking, she jumped to her feet, her finger pointing at Fernanda as she cried out, “Why did you steal my credit? I was the one who negotiated this deal. Why did you take it for yourself?”
Fernanda remained seated, her expression as calm as ever, untouched by Erika’s outburst.
“Oh, you were the one who negotiated?” Fernanda said, her eyes flicking over to Erika. “So, how did that go? What was the starting point? Where’s your proposal? How was the final amount settled? How many rounds of negotiation did it take? Care to explain?”
Her questions hit Erika like a wall, leaving her speechless and trapped. She realized, with shock, that she had never thought through any of this. She had simply spoken to Mayson, never considering the complexities involved. Vinson’s brow furrowed as he glanced back and forth between Erika and his brother, a realization slowly dawning on him.
Now it made sense why his brother, who usually steered clear of company matters, had approached him about this collaboration. It was due to Erika’s request.
But Vinson knew the truth; this had nothing to do with Erika. Fernanda had already reached out to him before Erika ever spoke to Mayson.
Fernanda had been upfront, offering generous terms, even promising that her company, Bright Lights Media, would handle free promotion for Prestige Fashion Group for an entire year. After days of careful discussions and negotiations, it was Fernanda who had wrapped everything up with the final contract.
Vinson couldn’t understand why Erika was acting this way. What credit was she claiming? How could she take credit for something that was clearly Fernanda’s work when all she had done was ask someone like Mayson, who played no role in the company, for help?
Vinson couldn’t make sense of Erika’s actions.
Erika stood frozen, unable to respond to any of Fernanda’s sharp questions.
But Robert understood in an instant. Everything clicked into place. Before Fernanda, Vinson, and his team showed up, Erika had claimed to him that she had already closed the deal with the Turner family. It became clear to Robert that Erika had caught wind of Fernanda wrapping up the collaboration and had hurried to take all the credit for herself!

The thought made Robert’s anger flare up again, and his face grew cold toward Erika.
“Go to your room!” Robert snapped, his voice laced with anger. “Why are you, a good-for-nothing, even here?”
Erika flinched at Robert’s harsh words. Overcome by the weight of everyone’s mocking glances, she lost her composure and ran upstairs, tears streaming down her face.
Robert glanced at Vinson, his face flushed with embarrassment. He wanted to explain but found himself at a loss for words.
Mayson, however, watched Erika’s retreating figure with a furrowed brow, confused and puzzled.
Why was she crying? Was it really just about the credit?
But in the end, it was for the family’s benefit. Why was Erika making such a big deal about whose credit it was?
In that moment, the image of Erika as the sweet, gentle woman Mayson had once known started to crumble, revealing a side of her that was more competitive and self-serving.
