Chapter 370
Chapter 370:
Instead of entering, Cristian motioned for Fernanda to go in first.
That was when Fernanda saw her—Cristian’s mother.
She was stunning, with bold features that commanded attention. The resemblance between her and Cristian was undeniable, especially in their eyes.
She wore a fitted dress that accentuated her curves, and her chestnut-brown hair was softly curled, framing her features perfectly. Though nearing fifty, she looked ageless—her skin smooth and flawless, untouched by time.
Her bright eyes, sharp nose, and red lips made her appear effortlessly radiant.
As Fernanda studied her, Haley Reed studied Fernanda in turn.
She already knew who Fernanda was—Bobby’s fiancée—and had seen her in the news. But in person, Fernanda was even more striking than her photos suggested.
The boy sitting on the other sofa leapt to his feet. “Aunt Haley, it’s her! She’s the one who hit me!”
He glared at Fernanda, his expression full of fury.
He had always been difficult, and now that he had family backing him, he wasn’t about to back down. His eyes burned with anger, clearly plotting some form of revenge.
“You know exactly why I hit you,” Fernanda said, meeting his fiery gaze without flinching. “Did you tell them the whole story?”
“He told me,” Haley said calmly. “I know it was his fault.”
The boy blinked, confused. “Aunt Haley, are you mixed up? What did I do wrong?”
Haley raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you disrespect Erika first? Huh?”
Her voice was soft but firm, carrying an undeniable authority. This made her seem authoritative.

“So what?” The boy shrugged. “I’ve said those same words to other girls before. Why was she so sensitive?”
Fernanda realized the boy was spoiled, completely blind to his own faults, blaming everyone else for his actions.
“Well, you deserved the beating,” Haley said, a faint smile tugging at her lips before turning to Fernanda. “Since you’ve already dealt with him, why don’t we let it go? I’ll take him with me.”
“You can take him,” Fernanda said coolly, “but only after he apologizes to my brother.”
The boy opened his mouth, ready to argue again, but Haley’s sharp gaze silenced him as she told Fernanda, “No problem.”
The boy was caught off guard by Haley’s quick agreement to have him apologize. Yet, Haley’s icy gaze had him sinking back into the sofa, his arrogance deflating. Fernanda called Kevin over. Despite his reluctance, the boy offered a halfhearted apology.
Kevin stood in stunned silence. He came in a daze, heard an unexpected apology, and left quickly. Once he was outside the room, he wondered if what had just happened was a dream. Did that arrogant guy really just apologize to him? How had Fernanda pulled that off?
Back in the room, Fernanda nodded toward Haley. “Now that this is resolved, Mrs. Reed, you’re free to take him. I’ll be leaving.”
