Chapter 444
Chapter 444:
“I didn’t do much. It’s really all thanks to you and the other students,” Fernanda said. “Besides, we agreed from the beginning that the prize would go to the school. I truly don’t want it.”
With that, she handed the check back to Aidan and made her way back to her seat.
Aidan gazed at her for a moment, then at the check, his emotions a whirlwind of admiration and joy.
What an incredible student!
Overcome with emotion, Aidan quickly grabbed his drink and downed three glasses in a row, trying to process his overwhelming feelings. After the meal, which left everyone satisfied, the group made their way out of the restaurant.
By then, it was past eight in the evening. The city was buzzing with life, its streets alive with energy. The sky shimmered with vibrant lights, and the traffic formed a continuous flow of glowing car headlights weaving through the urban landscape.
Still full of energy, Levi and the others eagerly suggested heading to karaoke. Not wanting to ruin the fun, Fernanda decided to join them. Most of the students had already left, leaving behind a small group of about twenty who were close friends with Levi. They reserved a luxurious private karaoke room.
Today, Sloane wasn’t in her usual elaborate Lolita dress. Instead, she wore a sleek suit, topped with a bright red, fluffy cape that made her look cozy and warm.
While a few boys argued over the microphone in the front, Sloane lounged on the sofa, sipping her drink.
She had ordered a variety of drinks—beer, whiskey, vodka, and mixers—declaring that she was in the mood to experiment with making cocktails.
Sloane had always enjoyed trying new things. After watching Wendy mix drinks at a bar, she had been inspired to give it a shot herself. She spent some time experimenting with the bottles, eventually creating a grayish concoction that looked entirely unappealing.
“Fernanda, want to give it a try?” Sloane asked, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Fernanda’s lips twitched in hesitation. “I… had too much to eat earlier. I really can’t drink anymore.”
The karaoke lights made the glass look as though it was filled with cement.
Sloane let out a sigh, her tone laced with regret. “That’s a shame. I was hoping to give you the first drink.”
“I appreciate the gesture,” Fernanda said, her voice a little stiff.
Sloane hesitantly took a sip of her creation, her eyes widening in surprise. “Wait, this actually tastes pretty good!”
She continued drinking it slowly, a look of contentment spreading across her face.
Inside, she couldn’t help but think that she must be some sort of genius. She was sure she had a natural flair for mixing drinks. Inspired by the thought, Sloane made up her mind to ask Wendy to teach her and pursue bartending on the side.
