Chapter 567
Chapter 567:
Cristian didn’t rush to answer. Instead, he continued to watch her, his eyes searching hers as if trying to decipher every hidden thought within them.
After a long silence, he gave a slow, deliberate nod. “Absolutely, thank you.”
A smile spread across his face, his lips lifting with an entirely unguarded joy. It was the kind of surprise that took him off guard, a joy he hadn’t expected to feel today. He never thought she would want to be his girlfriend.
Fernanda slowly peeled his hands from her shoulders, gently folding them into her own. For as long as she could remember, she had thought her hands were large, especially when compared to those of other women. Many had teased that they were perfectly suited for playing the guitar or piano. But as she held Cristian’s hands, she noticed the stark contrast—her own hands felt small, swallowed up entirely by his.
His hands were sculpted, with fingers that were long and graceful, exuding a quiet beauty.
As Fernanda traced the lines of his hands, she said in a gentle voice, “I’m someone who speaks her mind. I told you before that I see you as different from the rest, but now, after spending more time together, I can honestly say… I like you.”
A laugh bubbled up from her chest as she continued, “You’re incredible in every way. It’s impossible not to like you. And since you feel the same about me, I think it’s time we gave this a shot.”
Her words hung in the air, but the silence from Cristian followed.
Looking up, Fernanda was caught off guard as she saw Cristian leaning in, his face coming closer to hers. Without warning, he kissed her, a bold, sudden gesture.
Instinctively, Fernanda tried to pull back, but Cristian’s hand found the back of her head, holding her in place. He stepped forward, pressing her gently onto the ground, and deepened the kiss, his presence overwhelming her.
The world around them fell silent, the stars glittering far above, but all Fernanda could see was the darkness created by Cristian’s form blocking her view.

At that moment, memories from another time flooded her mind—an old summer night in a small motel. She remembered being brought back from Zhota to Esaham, when he had slipped into her room. Back then, to help him fend off the attackers pursuing him, they pretended to be a couple, which unknowingly led to their first intimate moment.
The memory of his teasing voice echoed in her mind, “Is this your first kiss?”
A sudden, sharp pressure on her lips pulled her back to the present—Cristian had gently bitten her, his touch almost playful.
Raising himself on one arm, he studied her with curiosity. “You seem lost in thought. What’s going through your mind?”
Her voice was gentle as she answered, “I remember the first time we met.”
Cristian’s gaze was intense, emotions flickering like shadows, too faint to fully grasp. As he spoke, his voice smooth and low, his Adam’s apple shifted slightly. “The very first time?”
