Chapter 575
Chapter 575:
Moments later, the roar of motorcycles blared down the street—loud, disruptive, and unmistakable.
Soon, a group of teenagers stormed through the hotel entrance.
The leader of the group, a boy around seventeen, wore a gray down jacket and jeans. His hair was a messy mop with a small braid. He rushed toward Fernanda with a determined stride.
Fernanda had just risen from the sofa when, before she could react, the boy enveloped her in a bear hug.
“Fernanda, you finally came back! You just left us without a word! How could you? So heartless!”
Clement’s loud, dramatic words echoed through the hotel lobby, drawing curious glances from everyone nearby.
Fernanda gave his back a light pat. “Alright, cut it out. It’s embarrassing.”
“Unbelievable! The first thing you say after all this time is that I’m embarrassing? I feel hurt.”
“Hey, you’re such a drama king. How about letting go of me and checking out the gifts I brought for you?”
The moment her words reached him, Clement released her immediately.
His face remained as fresh and clear as ever, no sign of the dramatics he’d just performed. It was all just a show.
With a grin, he held out his hand. “Hand them over.”
Behind him, the other boys followed suit, eagerly stretching their hands toward her. “Give me mine too.”
Fernanda smirked. She pulled out a large bag filled with gifts, handing them out to each of the boys. “It seems you guys care more about the gifts than about me, don’t you?”

Clement wasted no time shaking his head. “How could that be? We really care about you. You vanished to Esaham without warning, not even a goodbye dinner. Do you have any idea how shattered we were? We cried for a night!”
Fernanda couldn’t help but recall Clement’s exaggerated wails from earlier. She raised an eyebrow and replied flatly, “Is that so? Somehow, I find that hard to believe.”
Clement’s grin turned even more mischievous. He moved closer and sat beside her, squeezing in like he used to. “After the New Year, we’d all head to Esaham and stick to you like old times. You once promised you would take us in, and you’re not planning to back out, are you?”
“Of course not. I’ve almost wrapped up everything. Just stick to the plan, like we agreed.”
“Why’d you come back this time?”
“To pay my respects at Hiram’s grave,” Fernanda replied.
