Chapter 757
Chapter 757:
“Alex, you are creepy right now.”
“I was talking about Neal! Stop making this about yourself,” Alex shot back with a smirk. “People care about looks, you know? If you want me to fall for you, maybe consider getting some plastic surgery first.”
Levi immediately rolled up his sleeves, eyes narrowing. “Don’t think just because you’re taller, I won’t take you down.”
Alex let out a smug laugh, completely unfazed by Levi’s threat. Sloane, on the other hand, was practically bouncing with excitement, eager for the fight to break out.
Just then, Fernanda’s phone buzzed, breaking the tension. She glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from Rosita.
She stepped out onto the balcony and answered the call.
“Ms. Morgan, have you checked the latest news?” Rosita’s voice was tinged with urgency. “That young man from your studio is going viral.”
“I skimmed through it earlier this morning. Has something else happened?”
“Yes, the buzz was low last night and had barely made a ripple by this morning. But just now, more information was suddenly uncovered,” Rosita said with a heavy sigh. “It’s not even about his win anymore. Now, it’s all about his father. Word has spread that his father is not just a kidnapper but also a junkie. That young man knew all along and even gave him money to buy more drugs, which is reprehensible.”
A wave of discomfort washed over Fernanda as her expression tightened. Her heart seemed to sink deeper with each word.
“There was a flood of praise for him after he won the championship yesterday. But today? It’s like someone flipped a switch. The comments are harsh, almost coordinated, as if someone had hired a troll farm to tear him apart.”
With years of experience in the media industry, Rosita knew exactly when a story was manipulated. She could sense the carefully crafted attack beneath the surface.
“Ms. Morgan,” Rosita continued, her tone heavy. “Someone’s targeting your guy. Do you have any idea who he might have angered?”

Sunbeams streamed through the glass panes, splintering into brilliant fragments that danced across Fernanda’s face, highlighting the steely resolve in her eyes.
“Got it. Begin by issuing a press release to divert attention,” Fernanda instructed firmly. “Highlight Neal’s victory at last night’s championship. Leave out any mention of his family. I’ll delve deeper into this issue and contact you later.”
“Understood,” Rosita replied.
After ending the call, Fernanda remained lost in thought.
Just then, Cristian approached, his tall stature casting a long shadow that draped over Fernanda, enveloping her petite form in his silhouette. “What seems to be the problem?” Cristian inquired, concern coloring his tone.
Fernanda briefed him on her recent conversation with Rosita. Cristian’s curiosity piqued as he took the phone from her, his fingers deftly swiping through the screen to check the latest news headlines. Each headline bore the same intense scrutiny.
“I recognize the media conglomerate behind these outlets,” Cristian noted with a hint of resolve. “Just give me a moment. I’ll handle this.”
