Chapter 770:

When she finished, Curran clapped his hands enthusiastically, his laugh booming like thunder. “Fernanda, your analysis mirrors my own perfectly!”

Jordyn’s expression faltered for just a moment.

Earlier, Curran had kept his views close to the chest, letting her take the lead. She hadn’t anticipated that his stance would align with Fernanda’s instead. And what truly startled her was the depth of Fernanda’s understanding.

During a lecture at Esaham University, Jordyn noted that Fernanda possessed a rudimentary knowledge of economics. But this… this was on another level.

Jordyn recalled that the latest GDP statistics had been released just yesterday. Yet, Fernanda was already well-versed in them. Did she follow economic news daily, dissecting each report with such precision?

Jordyn had framed her study in a positive light because Curran had appeared upbeat about global trends a few days prior. It was unexpected for Jordyn that Curran’s perspective would shift so quickly, and that Fernanda would be the one to appropriately portray it.

It was, quite simply, surprising.

“You never cease to amaze me, Fernanda,” Curran said, his admiration evident. “A college student who plays esports yet speaks about economics with such clarity. Incredible!”

Jordyn’s polished expertise lent her credibility, but Fernanda’s natural insights carried a charm that was impossible to ignore.

Curran, already favoring Fernanda, now viewed her in an even brighter light.

With a swift kick, Curran roused Bobby from his nap, the younger man stirring with a groan. “Wake up!”

Curran was adamant about matching Bobby and Fernanda. Fernanda was exceptional in every way. He wished to see her with Bobby.

Bobby groaned as a sharp kick jolted him awake. His thoughts swirled in a haze, the faces before him a blur of confusion.

The words Curran and Jordyn had spoken moments ago barely registered, like echoes from a distant cave. Try as he might, he couldn’t pin them down, his mind teetering on the edge of sleep.

“What’s going on, Grandpa?” Bobby asked, his face a picture of bewilderment.

Curran gave an exasperated sigh, his patience stretched thin. “Go fetch the food I asked you to prepare this morning for the guests.”

Still half-asleep, Bobby shuffled to the fridge and pulled out a bowl of fruit salad, holding it like it was some ancient relic.

“Girls should eat more fruit; it does wonders for the skin,” Curran said with a warm smile that could melt glaciers. “Fernanda, there are plenty of your favorites here. Bobby made this just for you. He spent all morning on it and even nicked himself peeling the fruit.”

As he spoke, Curran shot Bobby a subtle glance that screamed, “Play along.”

Bobby, however, blinked at his grandfather with the cluelessness of a fish out of water. “What are you even talking about, Grandpa? The maid made this, not me. And why would I nick myself? I’m not that clumsy. Ow! Hey, why are you kicking me again?”

Curran’s frustration boiled over, and he snapped, “Get out of here!”
