Chapter 804:

Actually, it was Nettie who was calling.

She had been blowing up her phone about Beckett’s situation, desperate to reach Fernanda. Bonita could tell that Nettie was calling her to try and get her to speak with Fernanda, convincing her to let Beckett off the hook.

Bonita had no interest in having that kind of conversation with Nettie—or any conversation with her at all.

Suddenly, one of Clement’s men burst in, out of breath. “We’ve got a situation at the studio, Fernanda. Some people are causing a scene! You should come take a look!”

Fernanda found herself in the e-sports hall when she stepped through the glass door of the studio. Four rows of high-spec oversized computers were meticulously arranged, each row housing twelve computers set atop gray desks.

However, the scene before her was one of chaos. Several computer screens were shattered, pieces scattered across the floor. The wires were tangled in a mess, and keyboards were strewn throughout the hall.

Clement was in a fight with someone. He had the person pinned to the floor, repeatedly hitting them. The person beneath Clement fought back, kicking him in the stomach and causing him to slide back a few feet.

Despite the kick, Clement quickly regained his footing and charged back, ready to punch again.

Fernanda approached and grabbed hold of Clement.

“Get out of the way. I’ll teach these idiots a lesson today!” Clement shouted, his voice full of fury.

He had a cut on his forehead, blood dripping down his face. He wiped it off, but the look on his face was one of pure, indescribable rage.

“Stop it. Are you going to ignore me?” Fernanda said firmly, holding onto Clement’s arm.

Clement tensed and turned toward her. When he saw it was Fernanda, he seemed to regain his clarity and composure. His rage instantly dissipated, and he now seemed calmer.

Fernanda glanced back at Sloane, who promptly stepped in and pulled Clement away.

Finally, Fernanda turned toward the unexpected visitors. It was Nettie and the group she had brought along.

“Mrs. Ramirez, why are you doing this? Are you deliberately causing trouble?” Fernanda asked, her gaze stern as she fixed Nettie with a piercing look.

“What have you done to my son? We can’t even visit him now! You’re responsible for this, aren’t you? You even had your lawyer send my son a legal notice. Why make a big deal out of a minor issue? Are you trying to ruin my son?” Nettie retorted, glaring at her. The look on her face was one of disgust and hatred.

Fernanda sneered. Why did Nettie and her son never reflect on their own mistakes, but instead, always place the blame on others?

“Fernanda, why can’t you just give my son a break? You will regret your ruthlessness,” Nettie warned.

Fernanda casually shrugged and smirked. “Tell me, what gives you the right to threaten others? You must be desperate to act like this.”
