Chapter 840
Chapter 840:
Haley could tell that something was wrong with Fernanda. She thought that Fernanda was scared by her words. “Miss Morgan, please don’t hate Cristian because of what I said. None of this is his fault. Besides, he’s changed now, and you…”
“You have nothing to worry about,” Fernanda said lightly, interrupting Haley. “I won’t hate him.”
Cristian had been a savior who had indirectly transformed her life.
Lennon had once told her that it was the boy who had allowed him to share his knowledge with her. Lennon had casually mentioned to the boy that she was smart, and the boy had asked him to teach her.
The things she had learned from Lennon were things one couldn’t easily learn anywhere in a small village. Because of Lennon, she had learned a lot and surpassed her peers.
The seven years she had spent learning in that mysterious villa were the most meaningful and fulfilling time of her life. Fernanda had been a wise child then and had known that knowledge would change her life. When opportunities had been scarce, she met the boy and Lennon. They had been her saviors and opened the door to a new world for her.
Despite her intelligence, Fernanda knew that if she had not met them then, she wouldn’t be where she was right now.
Even talented people needed someone to recognize their potential and help harness it.
She had always wanted to find the boy and Lennon to thank them for their help and kindness, but she had never been able to locate them.
It turned out that the boy she had been searching for had been right by her side all along.
But why hadn’t Cristian told her?
The young Cristian had rarely appeared in front of Fernanda, so her memory of him was vague. However, she had been a frequent visitor to the villa, and Cristian should have recognized her.
Even though her appearance had changed over time, she still looked much like her younger self. She didn’t understand why Cristian had never mentioned it.

She decided to ask him about it once she returned to the hospital room.
Fernanda gently pushed the door open and found Cristian resting against the headboard, his attention fixed on something far outside the window. He wore a hospital gown that hung loosely from his shoulders, adding a touch of fragile grace to his presence.
The room was bathed in a golden light that streamed through the window, casting a soft, ethereal glow across his face.
Upon hearing the door, Cristian turned toward Fernanda, his expression lighting up. “Finished your chat?” he asked.
Fernanda walked across the room and sat at the edge of the bed, studying his face intently. She tried to reconcile the face from her fleeting memories with the man before her.
His hair was neatly styled, emphasizing a smooth, broad forehead and striking features. His eyebrows were well-defined, and his eyes were deep and elongated. When he looked at her, they seemed like an endless sea of stars, captivating her completely.
Yet in her memories, she could only recall the dark, foreboding look in his eyes beneath his unkempt, dark hair.
