Chapter 855
Chapter 855:
“Sure,” Fernanda responded without hesitation. “I’ll head over now.”
Esaham University was surrounded by bustling commercial streets filled with various shops, including a selection of gyms.
Sloane had initially frequented the gym nearest to the campus, but due to its recent month-long renovation, she had shifted to an alternative facility.
Located slightly further, about five kilometers from the university, Sloane would use the jog there as a warm-up and sprint back to complete her cardio session. However, today’s intense leg workout at the gym had left her too exhausted to consider running.
Fernanda pulled up at the gym and made her way upstairs to locate Sloane. She found her in the lounge, looking thoroughly spent as she clung to an oversized water bottle.
Upon spotting Fernanda, Sloane managed a feeble smile. “Oh, Fernanda, that was quick.”
Fernanda took a seat beside her and handed over a box. “I brought you some ham.”
She had picked it up from a deli near Cristian’s apartment, a place where she had shopped previously and enjoyed the quality. Sloane was particularly fond of their ham.
“I’ll have it later,” Sloane responded. “I’m not really hungry right now.”
“Is it really that bad?” Fernanda chuckled.
Sloane gave a vigorous nod in confirmation.
Having experienced rigorous training herself, Fernanda understood the toll that leg and endurance exercises could take.
Sloane was naturally weaker, and her trainer, a woman, always went easy on her, never pushing too hard.
“It was a different trainer today!” Sloane exclaimed, her expression contorting with frustration. “It was…”
She made a discreet gesture, then abruptly lowered her hand and covered her mouth.
Fernanda’s eyes followed Sloane’s quick glance and noticed Vinson approaching, a towel hanging loosely around his neck.

Upon noticing Fernanda, Vinson lifted his eyebrows in mild surprise and said, “Well, this is unexpected.”
“Good evening, Vinson.” Fernanda returned the smile and gestured toward the box beside her. “Care for some ham?”
Without hesitation, Vinson approached, grabbed a few slices, and tossed them into his mouth.
“This is good. Did it come from Vender’s?”
“Recognize it, do you?”
Vinson nodded. “Yeah, I’ve sampled just about every deli around Esaham.” He sported a black tank top that showcased his well-defined muscles. His skin was toned, enhancing his athletic demeanor.
He was fresh from the shower, droplets from his wet hair trailing down and pooling at his feet.
