Chapter 941
Chapter 941:
The office was brightly lit, yet despair shadowed Fulton’s face.
“Mr. Griffin, could you repeat what you just said?” Fernanda asked, her smile gleaming. “I have a secret crush on you, huh?”
Fulton clenched his jaw, his temples visibly pulsing.
He paused for a moment, sighed deeply, and said with resignation, “Fine. I’ll give you the contract.”
Simultaneously, footsteps echoed from the hallway outside.
When two people spend enough time together, they grow to recognize even the subtlest signs of each other’s presence. Fernanda knew Cristian’s footsteps well enough by now.
The office door swung open, and Cristian entered.
Fulton caught sight of him and blurted out in surprise, “Mr. Reed?”
Cristian walked past him without a word and approached Fernanda, gently lifting her chin. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. Everything is under control,” she assured him, her smile unwavering.
Turning her head, she noticed Kevin in his pajamas, looking quite disheveled.
She arched an eyebrow, looking to Cristian for an explanation. He tousled her hair playfully. “I ran into Kevin at the complex entrance. He was worried about you.”
Fernanda smiled warmly and motioned to a spot nearby. “Take a seat,” she told Kevin.
The room’s atmosphere was tense, underscored by the presence of several intimidating bodyguards. Kevin remained silent and settled onto the sofa.
Fulton extended the contract to Fernanda. It was a company transfer agreement.
The document made no mention of using Fernanda as a bargaining chip. Instead, it outlined Robert’s acquisition of the company from Fulton at a suspiciously low price.

The company was in excellent condition, which only highlighted the questionable nature of the transfer fee.
Fernanda grinned. “I’m quite valuable, aren’t I?” Her voice dripped with sarcasm.
Fulton stayed silent, his gaze fixed on Cristian.
Cristian skimmed the contract, then met Fulton’s eyes, his look dark and menacing.
“You’ve got some nerve, Mr. Griffin,” Cristian remarked quietly. “Those young models no longer satisfy you, so now you’ve turned your attention to my girlfriend?”
“Mr. Reed, this is all a misunderstanding,” Fulton hastened to explain. “I wasn’t aware Miss Morgan was your girlfriend. I would never have pursued this if I’d known.”
“I want the full story,” Cristian insisted, twirling a lock of Fernanda’s hair around his finger. “Tell me everything. Don’t omit a detail, or I assure you, you won’t appreciate the consequences.”
