Chapter 991
Chapter 991:
Consequently, his smirk faded, and he began observing her painting endeavors with genuine interest.
He noticed that as she continued painting, she grew more absorbed in her work, and it felt increasingly familiar to him.
Her technique was bold and smooth, showcasing a natural confidence. She had clearly visualized the entire scene beforehand, with each brushstroke executed with precision and surprising mastery.
His face took on a more grave and thoughtful expression.
More spectators started to gather around her, captivated by her artistic vision.
While many had seen watercolor pieces, witnessing such prowess from a young artist was uncommon.
The man’s initial contempt slowly turned into a puzzled frown. With each stroke, a name etched itself into his thoughts, challenging his disbelief.
Could she possibly be Rose?
Rose was a respected and successful painter. How could this young woman in her early twenties be him?
That seemed impossible. He surmised that this young artist was perhaps an apprentice of Rose, having adopted his style.
Yet, this realization did not soothe him, as he too was an admirer of Rose and had attempted to emulate his style, though his own abilities paled in comparison.
When a distinctly familiar rose appeared in the bottom right corner of the canvas, his phone suddenly felt like a heavy burden, slipping from his grasp to the floor.
Was she truly…
“Yes, I am Rose,” Fernanda replied in her gentle voice, snapping the man back to reality. “Sir, you dropped your phone.”

Dazed, the man retrieved his phone, his gaze shifting between the painting and Fernanda.
Fernanda smiled and said, “The piece I painted that was hanging outside didn’t feel quite right to me, so I pointed out its flaws. It’s important to keep improving. I commented on the problems in my own creation. Do you think that was alright?”
Stammering, the man replied, “Um, yes, that’s… that’s perfectly fine.” His face flushed with embarrassment. He regretted his earlier comments, wishing he could take them back.
It was then he truly understood the folly of trying to teach a fish to swim.
From beside him, another voice interjected, “Are you really Rose?”
“I’m fond of roses, so I chose it as a pseudonym,” Fernanda said. “Thank you for appreciating my creations. There’s still so much for me to learn,” she added with a humble smile.
