Chapter 993
Chapter 993:
Stepping outside, he noticed more people staring at Fernanda with curious expressions.
“Hey, what happened?” Bobby asked, puzzled.
“Nothing, maybe they just think I’m good-looking,” Fernanda responded.
While that explanation seemed plausible, Bobby felt there was more to it.
Upon reaching the fourth floor, Fernanda spoke briefly with the director, who responded with visible astonishment and nodded vigorously.
Meanwhile, as the second half of the auction commenced, Curran and Ashley remained disinterested.
As the final item was sold, the host burst with excitement, announcing, “We have a special surprise. It’s a gift for our event organizer, Ms. Evans!”
Ashley perked up and directed her gaze toward the stage.
The host unfolded the painting in his hands and eagerly exclaimed, “This painting was created by the renowned artist Rose. The person who sent it mentioned that Rose created this piece especially for Ms. Evans, and now it is being gifted to her!”
Ashley’s face lit up with excitement and grace as she rose, adjusted her coat, and approached the stage.
She accepted the painting from the host, her expression one of astonishment and delight.
Her smile, bright and beaming, added to her natural elegance, making her glow radiantly.
“Look at my grandmother,” Bobby said, unable to contain his admiration. “She’s the embodiment of the saying, ‘True beauty stands the test of time.'”
Fernanda then heard Curran muttering in displeasure, “Why did he give it to her?”
She abruptly realized that Curran believed Rose to be an older man.

Quickly, she responded, “Don’t you own one of his paintings too?”
“It’s not the same. Mine wasn’t given directly to me,” Curran said, his voice growing more discontented.
Fernanda touched her nose, silently musing that the painting she had given Curran was indeed specifically made for him.
Meanwhile, Ashley, still on stage, conversed with the director, inquiring about the sender to personally thank them.
Fernanda noticed someone pointing at her.
The attention in the auction hall shifted toward her, especially from those who had witnessed her painting on the third floor.
Suddenly, a voice called out, “It’s her, that young woman! She’s Rose! We all saw her painting this very piece!”
Instantly, all eyes turned to Fernanda.
