My Mistake 201
Roderick reluctantly lifted his head, his eyes full of caution.
“Don’t look at me like that.”
Quinn chuckled.
“This is military–grade painkiller, works fast, can last for a few hours.”
When I saw Roderick, he didn’t hesitate. He just twisted open the medicine bottle and poured out two pills.
“Now we were allies, if you passed out, who would help me save Andie? Don’t let me down at this crucial moment.”
Roderick stared at the pill in his hand, then finally reached out, tilted his head back, and swallowed it.
A moment later, the pain eased slightly, and he took a deep breath, hoarsely speaking.
“Thanks.”
Quinn leaned against a container on the side, lit a cigarette, and the fire flickered in the twilight.
“Don’t thank me just yet.”
He blew out a puff of smoke.
“After rescuing Andie, we’ll slowly settle our accounts. You know my feelings for her. This time we’re just forced to cooperate temporarily.”
Roderick stood up straight, his eyes becoming sharp again.

“You’re not qualified enough to take her away from me.
Quinn raised an eyebrow, flicked the ash.
“Let’s each do our own thing, but for now, we need to make that cruise ship stop.”
He turned around and walked towards the computer.
“I hope your body could hold on until the moment you see her.”
Roderick looked at his back, raised his hand and pressed the still slightly painful wound.
The sea breeze lifted the hem of his blood–stained shirt.
Two men with different thoughts, temporarily put aside their hostility for the same goal.
“Found it!”
Quinn sounded excited.
“The cruise ship is deviating from the international route towards the southeast! But at its current speed, we only have a window of forty minutes at most.”
Roderick looked towards the distant horizon.
In the twilight, the last touch of sunset is fading away, darkness is about to engulf the entire sea.
He sat back in the car, tore off the blood–soaked bandage, and casually wrapped a new one around his wound, as if he didn’t feel any pain.
“The plane is ten minutes away.”
On the cruise ship, Andrea was dragged and fell into a dark room.

“Be honest! Don’t toast and not drink, drink as a punishment!”
A man’s hoarse scolding came from behind, she was about to struggle, but then the back of her head was firmly held down.
The cold glass medicine bottle pried open her teeth, bitter liquid poured down her throat.
Andrea coughed violently, trying to spit out the medicine, but someone firmly held her chin.
“Don’t waste it, just drink it up.”
Soon, the scene in front of her started to–blur, and her limbs felt limp and boneless.
The medicine kicked in fast, and Andrea only regained a bit of consciousness when the warm water suddenly poured over her head.
She was lying on the edge of the bathtub, watching the blurry figure swaying in the mist.
Rough hands mercilessly tore open her clothes, nails scratching her skin and making her shiver all over.
“Wow, she looks innocent and has a great figure.”
“No wonder it was sold for five million.”
The woman’s voice had a hint of coquettishness.
The foam of the shower gel spread over her neck and collarbone, sliding down along the curves of her body.
When those hands suddenly reached towards her private area, Andrea found a strength she didn’t know she had and jerked her body away.

The woman gave a cold laugh and pressed down heavily with her fingertips.
