Under the escort of bodyguards, the four people successfully boarded the helicopter.
Andrea held Roderick’s hand tightly, looking at his pale face, leaning down to press her check against his cold chest, listening to his faint but steady heartbeat.

He quietly took off his suit jacket and covered Andrea, who was shivering all over.
An hour later, a helicopter landed at a private hospital in a second–tier city on the border.
Roderick went into shock and passed out due to losing a lot of blood for a long time. He needed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and treatment for shock.
When he was pushed into the operating room, Andrea’s eyes were red with tears, wishing she could take his place.
Quinn leaned against the corridor wall, watching her pacing back and forth, hoarsely speaking.

Andrea mechanically turned her head, her eyes still empty and silent.

Seeing Andrea looking haggard, his eyes were full of pity.
“You look so pale, you should get some rest.”
Caspar bent down and locked eyes with Andrea, his gaze lingering on her face.
“You’re not hurt, are you?”
Andrea shook her head gently, her voice hoarse.
“I’m fine.”
Caspar looked at her like that, feeling a pang in his heart.
He straightened up, trying to lighten the mood.
“The gallery has been doing great lately because of the live streaming, the number of customers has increased significantly, you can rest assured.”

Andrea whispered.
She was about to say something else when Caspar suddenly followed her gaze and looked at Roderick on the sickbed.

Just then, the door of the ward was pushed open again.
Leonard walked in, his eyes landing on Caspar.

Andrea seemed to be grasping at straws, quickly turning her head to look at Leonard.
“Did my mom and Lucian know about me and my brother?”
Leonard shook his head.
“They didn’t know, afraid they would worry.”
“I told them that you went to play by yourself, and your brother was worried, so he followed you out, they didn’t suspect anything for the time being.”
After Andrea heard that, she let out a long sigh and her tense body relaxed a bit.
