She looked over, only to meet Matilda’s gaze. Matilda

immediately pulled the blanket up to cover her own body and

cleared her throat, blushing.

“Roderick, stop it. Andie’s at the door.”

Knowing what Matilda was thinking, Roderick didn’t expose

her. Instead, he pecked her forehead.

With a smile, he turned around to face Andrea, making sure she

saw the lust in his eyes clearly.

“Oh, well… It seems she came at the wrong time.”

Andrea pursed her lips slightly. For some reason, she couldn’t

move at all, realizing she had interrupted them.

Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit her, and she wanted to puke.

Not wanting them to see her in such a sorry state, she covered

her mouth and practically fled away.

In the room.

Roderick’s gaze turned icy gradually as he gazed at Andrea’s

retreating figure.

He thought, “Andie’s been acting out these days. I gotta

discipline her sometime.

“Pets should always obey their owners.”

A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes as he curved his lips into a

confident smile, making him look like a hunter watching his

prey in the trap.

After Andrea’s figure vanished from his sight, his expression

darkened completely, his previous gentleness all gone.

Matilda keenly noticed every change in his demeanor. She

clenched her fists tightly, her face almost twisting out of

jealousy.

Yet, she said with faux gentleness, coughing, “Roderick, Andie

fell into the water, too. You should go and check on her. I’ll be

fine.”

Roderick withdrew his gaze and continued to help her with the

medicine, saying slowly, “No need. She’s just throwing a

tantrum. She’ll calm down in a bit.””

Though he wanted to act like nothing had happened, a surge of

irritation enveloped him uncontrollably. After feeding her the

medicine hastily, he picked up his phone.

To his disappointment, Andrea didn’t text him or call him.

After waiting for a while, he scoffed.

He thought, “Good for you, Andrea.

“Show me how long you can keep this up.”

Thunder crashed out of the blue.

Andrea came to the flower shop.

Holding an umbrella, she stepped over puddles, the driving rain

leaving muddy stains across her clothes.

She stopped under the eaves and put her umbrella away.

Not knowing where else to go, she could only come here.

Just then, the wind chimes jingled.

“Hello. Are you the owner?”

Hearing the voice, she looked up and saw a man in a suit.

“Yes!” She sat down while propping her hands against the table.

He was handsome and graceful. Sitting down with elegance, he

said, “Nice to meet you. I’m Emerson Maxwell. Are you

transferring the shop?”

It turned out he was interested in the flower shop.

Andrea said with a warm smile, “Nice to meet you, too, Mr.

Maxwell. I’m Andrea Rehbein.

“I designed and decorated this shop by myself. As you can see, it

comes with a creative style, and you don’t have to renovate it at

all. There’s a commercial street and a school within five

hundred meters, so the foot traffic won’t be an issue. I know it’s

not a big shop, but it’s got everything you need. If you want, we

can sign the contract today”

She was telling the truth–the flower shop was decorated with

great taste, Adorned by colorful bouquets everywhere and the

bright display window, the whole place looked as warm as a

painting.

As she introduced, it suddenly occurred to her that Roderick

had helped her with the shop’s design drafts.

He had always had great taste.

The Morandi–hued bouquets–his signature floral arrangements-

had once attracted many customers.

“Alright.”
