Norman rushed forward, clutching a file in his trembling hands. His expression was one of panic and desperation as he bent slightly before Marvin.

"Brother Marvin, please... forgive me. I-

I never even looked through this contract till now. But here-

it's all here!" he said, handing over the document with both hands, bowing slightly. 1

Marvin took the file and flipped through the pages. His eyes narrowed with growing fury.

"This says... two million. That's what I borrowed. Not seven. And the terms were clearly stated- annual repayments, no interest hikes."

Norman clenched his jaw. "That bastard Stone... he altered the terms and went behind my back. He's been collecting money in my name-without my permission."

Marvin's brows twitched. His knuckles cracked as he clenched

his fists. "That scumbag."

Stone, still crumpled on the floor and bleeding from his lip, stared up in disbelief. His mind reeled at the sudden reversal. Is this really happening? His boss-

the same man who once barked orders at regional gang leaders-

was groveling like a stray dog?

Norman's eyes flared with rage. "I would never cheat our clients. I value integrity! And I despise lowlife scammers!" He turned to Stone. "GET OVER HERE AND APOLOGIZE, YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SH Stone didn't move fast enough.

CRACK!

Norman's boot slammed into Stone's jaw, dislodging two teeth. The man collapsed sideways, spitting blood, groaning in pain.

"I said get on your knees!" Norman roared. "NOW!"

Terrified, Stone scrambled to his knees and crawled to Marvin. "Please, Brother Marvin! I was wrong! I'm sorry for everything-I didn't know. Please forgive me!"

But Marvin wasn't finished.

He grabbed Stone by the collar and

drove a fist into his face. Then another. And another. Stone couldn't even scream-

his mouth was too bloodied. His head rocked back, and he tried to shield

himself, but Marvin wasn't letting up.

"You beat me... insulted me... threatened to kill me... And now you

want forgiveness?" Marvin's voice was hoarse with rage. "After all that?!"

He let out a growl and drove his knee into Stone's stomach, then shoved him aside like trash.

Stone collapsed, coughing violently, groaning. Norman said nothing. He let it happen.

"Brother Marvin," Norman finally said, straightening his coat and regaining composure, "please... Can we talk somewhere more private?" Marvin nodded, breathing hard. "Yeah. Come in.”

He led them into the modest sitting room. Norman and Bob followed, silent

and respectful. The tension in the room was thick.

Once seated, Norman placed a sleek black briefcase on the coffee table. He clicked it open, revealing neatly stacked bundles of crisp hundred- dollar bills.

"This is two million dollars,” he said firmly. "Compensation for the

damage we caused yesterday... and a token of our apology."

Marvin's eyes widened. "Two... two million? No, that's way too much. The damage wasn't even ten grand!"

Norman pushed the case forward. "Brother Marvin, please. Accept it. It's not about the amount- it's about sincerity."

"I know this isn't just for the damage. You want to meet Jaden, don't you?" Marvin asked, raising an eyebrow.

Norman hesitated, then nodded. "Yes. We do. We need to meet the King."

Bob sat upright, his arm still in a sling from the beating he took the day before. "We're not here to start trouble," he added quickly. "We just want to talk. That young man... He's not ordinary. We need to clarity

things and show our respect."

"He left earlier today," Marvin replied. "Took his sister to visit their aunty. But I can give you the address if you're that desperate.” Fresh chapters posted on find[ɴ]ovel.net

Norman and Bob exchanged a glance of relief.

"Thank you so much, Brother

Marvin. At least... please accept a

hundred thousand for

compensation, and

your debt bonet

been cleared also you dont need to pay anymore." Norman said, taking one bundle of cash from the briefcase and setting it aside.

Marvin sighed. "Fine. I'll take this. And thank you too"

Meanwhile...

Jaden's black car rolled through a quiet rural neighborhood. Dust kicked up behind the tires as they slowed to a stop near a cluster of old brick houses.

He stepped out, stretching, eyes scanning the surroundings. The streets were narrow, the buildings worn. Chickens clucked nearby. It was peaceful- too peaceful.

Julie got out from the other side and waved him over. "This way, brother."

They walked past a small wooden fence, turning a corner where a boy suddenly ran out.

He was tiny for his age, around ten,

but looked barely seven. His clothes were mismatched, his hair

uncombed There was a flicker of

confusion in his eyes, and he

twitched oddly as he ran up and

hugged Julie from behind.

"Aunty, aunty! Buy me biscuit! Buy me biscuit!" the boy shouted, slapping his palms together repeatedly while jumping in place, then stopping suddenly to sniff his fingers.

Julie picked him up and smiled softly. "Oh, Kelvin. You scared me. This is my nephew," she said, turning to Jaden.

Jaden's eyes softened. "That's Aunty's kid? What... happened to him?"

Julie held the boy tightly. "He's mentally challenged. Aunty noticed it after he was born... and when his father found out, he left."

"She was still recovering from childbirth when he walked

out,” she added bitterly. "No goodbyes. No money. Just disappeared."

Jaden looked down at Kelvin, who now

pulled Julie's hair while giggling and whispering something incoherent.

"What kind of man abandons his own son?" Jaden muttered under his breath. 1

Julie nodded. "We later heard he remarried into a wealthy family... He's been living large for years, pretending Kelvin doesn't exist. Never paid alimony. Never called. Nothing." Jaden's gaze darkened. "Cowards like that... they need to be taught a lesson."
