Chapter 50
Jaden stood alone in the center of the room, his back straight, eyes burning like coals. All around him, Rafael's men formed a loose circle, fingers twitching over their triggers, their nerves stretched thin. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ find~novel~net
The silence was unbearable. The air itself felt heavy, thick with tension. The sound of someone breathing too hard, another man swallowing his fear-it all rang loud in the stillness.
Rafael sat on his throne of leather and gold, leaning forward with a wicked grin.
"Well?" he said, his voice oily. "Shoot him!"
No one moved. They were all too scared after witnessing Jaden brutally killed two men with one hit.
"This guy is not human."
Jaden tilted his head slightly, his cold gaze sweeping across the room like a blade. He took one step to the side, then another. He started to circle slowly-like a lion, calm, unhurried, choosing which gazelle to kill first.
One of the men, young and trembling, couldn't take the pressure. His hands were slick with sweat. "Shoot him already!" he barked, raising his rifle but his voice cracked, betraying his fear.
Jaden didn't speak. He didn't need to. His eyes said enough: You're already dead.
Then-click.
Jaden's hand dipped into his side pocket and in a single fluid motion, he rolled a small capsule across the floor.
Tsssskkk! BOOM!
A flash of white light exploded with a loud bang, followed by thick clouds of smoke flooding the room.
Panic.
Gunfire exploded in every direction. The men shouted over each other, some firing blindly, others coughing and stumbling. Someone screamed as a bullet tore into the wrong man. Another dropped to the floor, convulsing in pain. Total chaos.
And Jaden... vanished.
From the smoke came a sharp crack!—a neck snapped. Then another.
A figure lunged from the mist toward the door-only to be grabbed from behind and dragged into the fog, his scream cut short.
CRUNCH!
A skull shattered against a steel pipe. Blood sprayed across the floor.
"Where is he?!"
"I can't see !"
"Behind you-!”
Too late.
Jaden moved like a phantom, each blow precise and final. One man tried to swing a machete-Jaden ducked under, caught his arm, and twisted until bone snapped. He drove an elbow into his jaw, breaking it clean. Another swung with a crowbar-Jaden caught it midair, yanked the man forward, and kneed him in the gut so hard he collapsed and vomited blood.
In under a minute, half the room was on the floor-dead or dying.
Through the fading smoke, the surviving thugs huddled together, horror etched into their faces.
Rafael stood now, frozen in disbelief. "Impossible..."
"You think this is a game?!" Jaden's voice finally broke through the chaos, cold as steel.
Bang! A bullet grazed his shoulder.
He didn't flinch. Instead, he charged-faster than they could react.
.n
He dodged another shot, closed the distance, and slammed his palm into a man's face, crushing it against the wall Another went for a knife-aden grabbed his wrist and snapped it, then turned his own blade into his throat.
One by one they fell.
By the time the smoke cleared, only Jaden stood upright. His shirt still intact,
streaked with blood-none of it his.
The floor was littered with bodies.
Rafael made a break for the back exit, running like a rat through the side
blood as
dor. His boots skidded on he turned the corner.
But-
WHOOSH!
A hand grabbed his collar mid-stride.
"No-!"
Jaden yanked him back like a sack of garbage and hurled him across the room.
CRAAASSHH!!
Rafael crashed into his ornate throne-shattering it into splinters. He lay there groaning, his arm bent the wrong way.
Jaden walked toward him, slow, heavy steps echoing through the now-silent room. He looked down at the broken man beneath him.
"I told you..." Jaden's voice was low, final. "No one leaves here alive.”
