Chapter 762
"If it weren't for you, Natalie and I wouldn't have gotten a divorce! If it weren't for you, my daughter wouldn't reject me! You're a parasite, scum, a piece of trash! You should have died a long time ago!"
Every punch was fueled by pure rage. Hamilton had lost his mind, screaming for Marico to die as his fists rained down harder. Impaired by alcohol, Marico's limbs felt like lead, and he was quickly reduced to a punching bag.
Seeing blood spill from the corner of Marico's mouth, Natalie frantically tried to stop Hamilton, but he shoved her hard to the ground. Just then, Kristin came out of the bedroom. Terrified by the brutal scene, she burst into tears and threw herself at Hamilton, trying to pull him off.
"Stop hitting Marico! You big jerk, get out of my house!"
Lost in his frenzy, Hamilton didn't even hold back against the little girl, shoving her away.
Natalie caught her daughter. Panic setting in, she rushed into the kitchen and grabbed a large chef's knife.
"Hamilton, if you don't stop, I'll... I'll kill you!"
Hamilton looked up at Natalie, then at the knife in her hands. The violence in his gaze only intensified.
"You want to kill me?"
"Let him go!"
"Natalie, you'd actually kill me for another man!"
"I said, let him go!"
"Do it then!"
"Hamilton, don't push me!"
"Unless you don't have the guts!"
Natalie's mind was in utter chaos. For a fleeting second, she actually considered striking, but Marico, barely hanging on to his consciousness, spoke up.
"Natalie... ugh... put the knife down... take Kristin and leave..."
"I... I can't leave you alone..." Natalie gripped the knife, stepping closer to Hamilton. "Hamilton, please, I'm begging you, stop forcing my hand!"
"Fine. Then promise you'll remarry me!"
"No!"
"Then we can all die together!"
"Hamilton!"
"As for Kristin, she'll just be an orphan with no parents!"
"Hamilton!" Natalie was fully pushed to the brink. She raised the knife, her entire
body trembling, but her gaze was resolute.
"Mommy!" Kristin sobbed in terror. "Mommy, Marico... I'm so scared!"
Thankfully Penelope Laurier and Theodore Stapleton rushed in at that exact moment Shocked by the
Scene, Penelope quickly disarmed Natalie, while Theodore hauled Hamilton off Marico.
"Don't hold me back, I'm going to kill him!"
Theodore pinned Hamilton's arms. "Calm the hell down!"
After shoving him away, Theodore pointed at the weeping little girl and the pale, trembling Natalie. "It's one thing for you to lose your mind, but are you trying to drive them crazy too? Do you have to escalate this until it's completely out of control and regret is useless?"
Hamilton ground his teeth. "He... he kissed my wife right in front of me..."
"Natalie isn't your wife anymore!"
"She is!"
"Wake up. If you really want them back, stop backing them into a corner!"
That seemed to finally break through to Hamilton. Hearing Kristin's continued sobbing, he scrambled toward her, wanting to hold her but the shrieked in terror and he behind
Natalie.
In that shattering moment, he was forced to admit that he had been wrong. Horribly, irreparably wrong.
