Chapter 1070
Joanna was ecstatic. She was finally ready for this.
"Maxwell, let's go to the bedroom," she said, her face flushing. She couldn't worry about Nora anymore; Horace was handling it.
Maxwell Griffith was captivated by her flushed, beautiful face. "Joanna, Dominic
Hayes also invited us to the banquet tonight. We can play for a while and then go to
the party."
Joanna happily kissed his lips. "Okay, Maxwell. I've missed you so much!"
She had always used other excuses to refuse him before.
Today, they could finally be together.
Maxwell Griffith was very skilled.
They went to the bedroom, and soon, the room was filled with Joanna's low,
breathless moans.
Maxwell was as relentless as he was thorough, and soon, Joanna's breathy gasps of both surrender and ecstasy filled the room.

Dominic Hayes's banquet was held at the Yaro Grand Hotel.
Luna pushed Natalie into the venue.
The banquet hall was already crowded.
Now that Natalie held the reins of the Griffith Group, she was the only person anyone wanted to talk to.
Previously, everyone knew Natalie only as the adopted daughter of the Scott family, completely unrelated to Sebastian.
But for the Griffith family's company to suddenly become hers was shocking and unbelievable to everyone.
Dominic Hayes and Brian Foster were waiting at the entrance for Natalie.
Seeing Luna push Natalie in, the two men walked over quickly.
"Ms. Scott, you've arrived," Dominic Hayes said with a faint smile.
Brian Foster also smiled in greeting.
Natalie smiled back. "Mr. Hayes, Mr. Foster."
Dominic Hayes's eyes filled with admiration as he looked at her. She wore a black gown, and though she was in a wheelchair, her aura was still captivating. For someone like Natalie she was dazzling. "Ms. Sepit, please come in. Youre the star of the show tonight.
Natalie had never received such treatment before. She smiled, a bit embarrassed. "Mr. Hayes, appreciate it, but I'm really not looking to be the center of attention tonight."
Dominic Hayes looked down at her. Today, he wore silver-rimmed glasses, giving him a refined, chiseled look that spoke of quiet intellect and old-money elegance.
Behind the glasses, his eyes were deep and bright. The slight curve of his lips was almost imperceptible, refined and graceful. Alright. Then I'll handle the mingling tonight. I'll take you in and introduce you to some of my business partners."
Natalie shot him a grateful smile and followed them inside.
She had won their respect with her abilities. Now, Natalie carried herself with a calm confidence, smiling and greeting the guests.
As they entered the main hall, everyone greeted Natalie.
"Good evening, Ms. Scott!"
"Mr. Stanton, a pleasure."
Natalie greeted people all the way to the center of the hall.
Dominic Hayes took the stage and formally introduced Natalie as the new CEO of the Griffith Group.
Everyone looked at Natalie with envy.
Suddenly, a mocking, questioning voice cut through the crowd. "I'm very curious,
just how did Ms. Scott get her hands on the Griffith Group?"
Natalie's gaze shifted to Emily, who stood radiant in a fiery red gown, flanked by Julian and Adrian.
Julian glared at Natalie, furious. "Natalie, I had no idea you were hiding such ruthless ambition benied that pretty face. Were you
lurking by Sebastian's side all these years just to steal the Griffith Group?"
After taking power, Natalie had terminated the contracts with their family companies, and the two were furious.
Natalie looked at the two men, a scornful smile playing on her lips as she watched their confused expressions. Her gaze swept across the room and landed on Joanna and Maxwell Griffith as they walked in.
She pointed at Maxwell. “Julian, Sebastian is right there. If you want to stand up for him, why don't you go ask him why he was so willing to give the company to me?"
