Chapter 1084
The Chloe of today hadn't reached her most difficult moment yet.
Her most difficult time would come after graduation, when her father, in debt for millions, would trick her into coming home and try to marry her off to settle his debts.
Chloe smiled happily. "Ms. Stone, thank you for giving me this opportunity. With this chance, my life after graduation will be much smoother than anyone else's."
"I will work hard with a grateful heart."
Natalie knew her capabilities.
“Good. You can apply for an internship at our company. You shouldn't have many classes now, right?" Natalie thought, if you're going to help someone, you might as well see it through. She was a good person, after all.
Chloe's voice was choked with emotion. "Okay! Ms. Stone, not many. Thank you so much."
Natalie looked at Tyler outside the door. "Tyler, come in."
Tyler walked in and looked at Natalie. "Ma'am."
Natalie pointed to Chloe. "Arrange a place for Chloe to stay, and help her get some daily necessities so she can have a good holiday."
Tyler looked at Chloe's pitiful, red-eyed gaze, his own eyes deepening slightly. "Yes, Ma'am."
Tyler turned to Chloe, his gaze gentle. "Miss Chloe, please come with me."
After bowing gratefully to Natalie, Chloe left with Tyler.
Luna then pushed Natalie's wheelchair, and this time they left quietly, without disturbing anyone else.
Meanwhile, Julian had finished signing the contract with Joanna.
When Julian saw Joanna's name as the signatory, a smile instantly spread across his face. "Joanna, Sebastian really spoils you, giving you this contract."
Joanna smiled. Maxwell Griffith was currently wearing Sebastian's face, so he certainly couldn't be seen backstabbing his "good brother."
This contract had to be signed by her. That way, when she later swallowed up Julian's company, no one would have anything to say.
Julian would just have to take the loss in silence.
Her smile was gentle, her tone light and cheerful. “Julian, you know how much Sebastian dotes on me. Now, what's his is mine, and what's mine is his. There's no difference between us."
But Julian understood. Natalie was right. Joanna really intended to seize his company, and he was next after Adrian.
Just as he was thinking of Adrian, he saw him storming into the room.
"Joanna, Julian, Natalie is just too much! I tried to teach her a lesson just now, but I got beaten up by a man she secretly brought with her. My face is all swollen and the side of my cheek is torn. I wont be able to eat for days. It hurts like hell."
He hissed as the cool air stung his raw wound, making him grimace.
Julian frowned. "How did you try to teach her a lesson?"
Adrian smirked. "I pushed her wheelchair was hoping to knock her to the ground so I could laugh at her. That damn cripple is just too. outrageous. Also, I ran into Stephen Ward. That kid has been doing
business these past two year past two years
expanding from Shencheng to Yaro. It really surprised me."
Julian looked at Adrian, who seemed like a complete idiot. They were all so
stubborn, convinced that Natalie was the bad guy, all deceived by Joanna's gentle exterior.
Julian asked, "Was Natalie hurt?"
Joanna narrowed her eyes, looking at Julian. Why did he seem a little off?
Adrian was furious. He walked over
and sat down next to Julian. "No! I made the first move, but I didn't manage to do anything to her. She just bumped into a wall, and she fine. The worst part is she wanted to calf the police on me. If Stephen Ward hadn't suddenly shown up and interrupted her, I would have been taken away by the cops by now."
