Janet watched as Theo hogged the phone; she couldn’t even get a single word in. Thus, she narrowed
her eyes and stared at him without saying anything.
A short while later, Theo spoke to the person on the other side of the phone. “Secretary Lawson, I’m
afraid I have something urgent to deal with here. I will treat you to a meal on another day.” After saying
that, he immediately hung up.
Janet’s pink lips moved slightly. She said in a speechless tone, “Mr. Richardson, you didn’t even let me
say a single word. How was Secretary Lawson supposed to recognize me?”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Theo sneered. He pointed at Janet and mockingly said,
“Secretary Lawson said it himself; he has no idea that you are studying at Woodsbury University.
